Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt have split roughly a year after getting together, sources confirm.

The breakup comes just five months after they welcomed daughter Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson on December 12, 2025.

Insiders say Davidson’s demanding work travel schedule put a strain on the relationship post-baby.

Co-parenting Scottie is now described as the former couple’s “top priority.”

Signs of trouble had been brewing for weeks, including Hewitt’s solo Mother’s Day post and a DeuxMoi blind item.

Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt are done — at least romantically. The comedian and the model have officially split, just five months after welcoming their daughter Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson into the world, multiple sources confirm.

According to insiders who spoke to the Sun, the relationship couldn’t survive the pressures of new parenthood — specifically, Davidson’s relentless work schedule. “Pete has been traveling so much for work, but Elsie was craving more support from him at home after their daughter was born,” one source said. “It was very hard for him because, obviously, he has to work to make money.”

A separate source confirmed the split happened recently and said both Davidson, 32, and Hewitt, 30, are keeping their focus squarely on their baby girl. “They are just focusing 100% on Scottie,” the insider said. “Working out the best co-parenting solution is their top priority.”

A Relationship That Moved Fast — and a Baby Who Brought It All Into Focus

Davidson and Hewitt’s relationship was a whirlwind from the jump. They were first spotted together in March 2025, caught packing on the PDA in Palm Beach, Florida. Page Six reported at the time that the Saturday Night Live alum was “very happy” to be with someone “very different from” his long list of high-profile exes — a lineup that’s included Ariana Grande, Kim Kardashian, and Emily Ratajkowski, among others.

By July 2025, the couple announced they were expecting. Hewitt made the reveal in characteristically candid fashion, captioning a pregnancy carousel on Instagram with: “welp now everyone knows we had sex.” The post included footage from their ultrasound appointment alongside a string of PDA photos.

They celebrated with a bunny-themed baby shower — complete with a very public kiss — before welcoming Scottie Rose on December 12, 2025. “our perfect angel girl arrived 12/12/2025,” Hewitt wrote in the birth announcement. The name carried real weight: Scottie’s middle name, Rose, was chosen as a tribute to Davidson’s late father, firefighter Scott Davidson, who died in the September 11 attacks. Davidson later got a tattoo of Scottie’s name near his ear.

The Warning Signs Were There

The cracks started showing publicly in the weeks before the official confirmation. Earlier this month, DeuxMoi posted a blind item suggesting the two had already called it quits — and gossip circles ran with it. Then came Mother’s Day.

Hewitt marked her first Mother’s Day with a touching tribute to Scottie on Instagram, writing: “We’re all here because of a mother’s sacrifice to make herself your first home. I got to be Scottie’s ❣️ Greatest honor of my life. Happy Mother’s Day.” Davidson was nowhere in the post — and notably, he was across the country in Los Angeles, attending Netflix’s The Roast of Kevin Hart, where jokes about his dating history and his very public history with Kanye West were very much part of the evening’s entertainment.

The optics didn’t go unnoticed. TMZ had already reported that the pair had been quietly trying to work through difficulties in their relationship, with sources saying they were figuring things out privately. A source also told Page Six earlier this month that the couple was “navigating relationship struggles” and that it was “unclear” where things would land.

Now we know.

The two had been splitting time between Brooklyn and upstate New York as they prepared for parenthood — a chapter that’s now shifted into something different, but no less important. Whatever comes next for Davidson and Hewitt, little Scottie Rose is the center of it.

Pete Davidson called Kanye West a “gay Nazi” during The Roast of Kevin Hart on Netflix on May 10

TMZ obtained video showing Ye was in the audience with wife Bianca Censori when the joke landed

Kanye appeared stone-faced during Davidson’s dig but later clapped for Teyana Taylor and smiled when Dwayne Johnson took the stage

The joke referenced their 2022 feud over Kim Kardashian and Ye’s widely condemned antisemitic comments

West published a public apology in the Wall Street Journal earlier this year, denying he is a Nazi or antisemite

Pete Davidson did not come to The Roast of Kevin Hart to play it safe — and Kanye West had a front-row seat for all of it.

The Netflix special, filmed May 10 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles as part of Netflix Is a Joke Fest and hosted by Shane Gillis, was exactly the kind of no-limits night the format promises. Davidson, 32, was among the comedians who took the stage, and when he did, he went straight for a familiar target. While roasting fellow comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, the SNL alum pivoted hard.

“Tony, nothing you say tonight will hurt my feelings,” Davidson said. “I was in a beef with Kanye, so I’ve taken shots from better gay Nazis.”

The line got huge laughs — including, reportedly, from Hinchcliffe himself. What nobody in that room may have realized in the moment: Ye was watching from the audience, seated alongside his wife Bianca Censori.

Stone-Faced but Present

Video obtained by TMZ shows Kanye from behind as Davidson delivered the joke. His reaction? Essentially nothing. No visible flinch, no laughter, no visible anger. Just Ye, sitting there, absorbing it.

He wasn’t completely unmoved all night, though. When Teyana Taylor — who famously starred in Ye’s iconic “Fade” video back in 2016 and has since become a Golden Globe-winning actress — surprised the crowd with a set, Kanye clapped for her. Taylor had said in a January interview with Vanity Fair that she wouldn’t be cutting Ye out of her life over his controversies, so the warmth there tracks. And when Dwayne Johnson stepped up to introduce Kevin Hart, Ye even cracked a smile.

The stone face was reserved specifically for Pete.

The History Behind the Punchline

For anyone who needs a refresher: Davidson and Ye’s feud ignited in late 2021 when Pete began dating Kim Kardashian. The nine-month relationship — which lasted until August 2022 — sent Kanye into a very public spiral. He went after Davidson relentlessly on social media, dubbed him “Skete,” and even appeared as an animated figure burying Davidson alive in the music video for “Eazy,” his 2022 collaboration with The Game — in which a claymation Davidson was kidnapped and buried. It was a lot.

Davidson’s “gay Nazi” line was also a direct callback to Ye’s spiral of antisemitic statements in 2022 and beyond, including a song called “Cousins” — later pulled from streaming — and a string of public comments that drew widespread condemnation. The fallout from those comments cost Ye major business partnerships and dominated headlines for months.

Hinchcliffe didn’t let Davidson off easy either. During his own set, the Kill Tony host landed his own Ye-adjacent shot at Davidson’s expense: “The closest Pete has come to greatness is when his d*** rubbed up against Kanye’s old c**,” Hinchcliffe said, as Davidson could be seen nodding along from his seat.

Ye’s Public Apology and What Came Before It

Davidson’s joke landed in the context of a much bigger, messier story. Earlier this year, Kanye published a full-page open letter in the Wall Street Journal, offering what amounted to his most direct public reckoning yet with his behavior.

“One of the difficult aspects of having bipolar type-1 are the disconnected moments — many of which I still cannot recall — that led to poor judgment and reckless behavior that oftentimes feels like an out-of-body experience,” he wrote. “I regret and am deeply mortified by my actions in that state, and am committed to accountability, treatment, and meaningful change. It does not excuse what I did though. I am not a Nazi or an antisemite. I love Jewish people.”

West said he had experienced a four-month manic episode that included “psychotic, paranoid and impulsive behavior” and that it “ruined” his life. He credited Bianca Censori — the same woman sitting beside him at the Hart roast — as the reason he finally sought help. “When you go into a manic episode, you are ill at that point,” he wrote. “When you are not in an episode, you are completely ‘normal.’ And that’s when the wreckage from the illness hits the hardest.”

The roast itself was a massive night beyond just the Ye subplot. Katt Williams showed up for a surprise appearance, squashed his long-running beef with Hart, and — because he’s Katt Williams — couldn’t resist slipping in some Diddy jokes while he was at it. The Greatest Roast of All Time: Kevin Hart is now streaming on Netflix, joining The Roast of Tom Brady in the platform’s growing library of celebrity roast specials.

As for Kanye? He hasn’t publicly acknowledged the roast, Davidson’s joke, or any of it. Whether that changes — well, anyone who followed the “Skete” era knows better than to assume the silence will last forever.

Pete Davidson won a Special Achievement Award at the 30th Annual Webby Awards in New York City

His five-word acceptance speech — “Thanks, I’m still dead inside” — immediately went viral

The quip landed amid reports that Davidson and girlfriend Elsie Hewitt are having relationship trouble

Machine Gun Kelly introduced Davidson at the ceremony, praising his “fearless” approach to comedy

The appearance followed controversy over Davidson’s jokes at the Netflix Roast of Kevin Hart

Pete Davidson showed up to the 30th Annual Webby Awards on Monday night, collected a Special Achievement Award — and delivered what might be the most Pete Davidson acceptance speech in history. Five words: “Thanks, I’m still dead inside.”

The ceremony, held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City, is famous for its strict five-word speech rule, and most winners played it warm and aspirational. Shonda Rhimes, who took home Streaming Person of the Year, went with “I am just getting started.” Don Lemon, who won both the Webby Award and People’s Voice Award for Best Video Podcast Host, kept it civic: “A free press is essential.” Comedian Atsuko Okatsuka, winning in the best comedy category, managed to pack an entire immigration story into five words: “Formerly undocumented immigrant. Current winner.”

And then there was Davidson.

The line got attention on its own terms — dark, deadpan, very on-brand — but the timing is what made people pay closer attention. Reports have been circulating that Davidson and Elsie Hewitt, the mother of his five-month-old daughter Scottie Rose, are navigating some serious friction behind closed doors. The couple welcomed Scottie in December, and Davidson had been publicly glowing about new fatherhood, telling People that fatherhood was “f-cking awesome” and calling Hewitt “a fantastic mom.”

What’s Really Going On With Pete and Elsie

But sources close to the couple have been telling a more complicated story. “There are issues, but they’re trying to figure things out together,” one insider told People. A separate source told the Daily Mail that none of Davidson’s friends are particularly surprised. “Not one of Pete’s friends is surprised that there are relationship issues with him and Elsie,” the source claimed. “This is what he ends up doing always. She was also warned well ahead of time in their relationship to be careful with him, because Pete loves to self-sabotage a good thing.”

According to insiders, the pregnancy was unplanned — and that reportedly changed the energy between them almost immediately. “Their dynamic immediately changed when she became pregnant, and they are trying to figure out the next steps as they want to be together for their kid, but it just might not be their endgame,” the source alleged. The same insider claimed Davidson isn’t ready to walk away: “He doesn’t want the relationship to end because he wants his daughter to have the luxury of having a complete family, something he wasn’t afforded himself.” Davidson lost his father, firefighter Scott Davidson, in the September 11 attacks when Pete was just seven years old.

Hewitt, for her part, shared a quiet but emotional Mother’s Day post the day before the ceremony. “We’re all here because of a mother’s sacrifice to make herself your first home. i got to be Scottie’s,” she wrote. “Greatest honor of my life. happy mother’s day.”

MGK’s Introduction and the Kevin Hart Roast Fallout

Davidson wasn’t alone on that Webby stage — longtime friend Machine Gun Kelly was there to introduce him, and MGK had nothing but praise. “He was sharing a lot of his jokes that he was going to do for the Kevin Hart roast last week, and what stuck out to me was that he would tell me some of the jokes, and he never asked me, ‘Oh, is this too much?’ or ‘Is it gonna offend anybody?'” MGK said. “He just told me the jokes, and it made me realize that, you know, he’s fearless, like great comedy is supposed to be raw, authentic, and he puts his own self on the line to make us all laugh and think.”

That Kevin Hart roast has been generating its own noise. At the Netflix event, Davidson went after MAGA-aligned comedian Tony Hinchcliffe — the podcaster who made racist jokes about Puerto Rico at a Trump rally in 2024 — with a vengeance. “Tony Hinchcliffe’s here looking like both a child molester and the doll they give the child to show where he touched them,” Davidson said, before adding, “Tony reminds me of Charlie Kirk” in a line that drew both gasps and applause. He also landed a shot at Kanye West: “I was in a beef with Kanye, so I’ve taken shots from better gay Nazis.” Chelsea Handler and Sheryl Underwood also took swings at Hinchcliffe during the event.

Backstage at the Webbys, Davidson did show a slightly lighter side. When asked what advice he’d give his younger self, he kept it simple: “Don’t be too hard on yourself.”

It’s a sentiment that lands a little differently knowing everything he’s carrying right now.

Tom Brady, Dwayne Johnson, and Katt Williams all made memorable appearances, while Davidson also revived his Kanye West beef onstage.

Netflix’s Roast of Kevin Hart was three hours of glorious, uncensored chaos — but the version that aired on Sunday night wasn’t even the sharpest cut. Comedy writer Madison Sinclair, who worked behind the scenes crafting material for several of the night’s roasters, has since revealed a batch of jokes that never made it to air, including one that took a pointed swipe at First Lady Melania Trump.

The line was written for Tony Hinchcliffe — the comedian perhaps best known for calling Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage” at a Donald Trump rally at Madison Square Garden in 2024 — and it read: “Tony is like Melania: The only thing relevant about him is that he opened for Trump once.” Clean, surgical, and apparently too hot for Netflix. Sinclair shared the joke with Variety, though no explanation was given for why it didn’t make the final cut.

It’s not hard to guess why someone might have gotten cold feet. The political climate around jokes involving the first family has turned genuinely treacherous. Just weeks earlier, Jimmy Kimmel’s quip that Melania had “the glow of an expectant widow” — a reference, many assumed, to the president’s age — prompted Mrs. Trump to accuse him of “hateful and violent rhetoric” and demand ABC News take action against him. President Trump renewed his push to have Kimmel removed from the air. Against that backdrop, a joke landing Melania in the same sentence as a comedian with a controversial license plate (“iRoast” — another Sinclair cut) starts to look less like a punchline and more like a liability.

What Else Got Left on the Cutting Room Floor

The Melania line was far from the only casualty. Sinclair’s unused material painted a picture of a roast that could have gone considerably harder. Among the discarded jokes:

On Kevin Hart’s participation in the Saudi government-funded Riyadh Comedy Festival: “Kevin, I was so disappointed when you did the Riyadh Comedy Festival because on a human-rights level no one should be forced to listen to your comedy sober.”

On Hart and the MeToo era: “Kevin is one of the few comedians without a single allegation. When he found out about the MeToo movement he was shocked. He was like, people are saying no to things?!”

On Lizzo’s acting debut in Hustlers: “Lizzo broke barriers when she danced as a stripper in Hustlers, mostly because they weren’t properly enforced.”

On Shane Gillis and his military record: “Shane Gillis only lasted two weeks in basic training. The closest he’s come to becoming a veteran is his views on Asians.”

And a deadpan Chelsea Handler burn that was really a two-for-one: “You might know Chelsea from being on E! for over a decade… she also had a famous talk show for a while.”

Sinclair, who has also written for The Roast of Alec Baldwin and the OnlyFans roasts of Whitney Cummings, told Playboy that she’s never interested in writing a roast where she’s comfortable with every joke she hears. “That’s kind of the fun of them,” she said. Her philosophy: if you’re going to go after a sensitive topic, the punchline better be worth it. “If you’re going to make fun of a sensitive topic, you better have a really smart joke about it. And the punchline isn’t just that — you’re saying a slur.”

Pete Davidson’s Most Controversial Night

The jokes that did make air weren’t exactly tame. Pete Davidson had arguably the most combustible set of the evening, targeting Hinchcliffe with a line that’s still generating outrage: “Tony reminds me of Charlie Kirk, in that he’s definitely been on camera letting a guy unload in his throat.”

Kirk, the 31-year-old Turning Point USA founder, was shot and killed while speaking at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025. The alleged shooter, Tyler Robinson, has appeared in court via video. Davidson’s joke, delivered just eight months after Kirk’s death, landed poorly with a significant portion of the audience — and the backlash online was immediate.

“Anything goes in comedy, but this ain’t it. Charlie was murdered just 8 months ago, and we wonder why people have become so desensitized to political violence,” one person wrote on X. Another posted: “Pete Davidson just showed what kind of person he is. Pathetic, sick, no decency.” A third went after Davidson’s personal history: “What makes this even worse is that he lost his father on 9/11. He understands the pain of growing up without a dad, but he’s joking about a man whose children will now grow up without theirs.”

Even within conservative circles, the reaction was measured rather than scorched-earth. Blake Neff, a producer of The Charlie Kirk Show, addressed it on X: “I didn’t like it, and I’m glad the audience wasn’t into it, but there are other ‘jokes’ we’ve seen that are clearly a lot more hateful in intent than Pete’s, and a few bad-taste jokes about Charlie are the price we have to pay for how iconic he has become in American culture.” Turning Point USA did not comment. As of Monday, Davidson hadn’t addressed the backlash publicly, and Netflix has continued streaming the special without edits.

Davidson also used his set to reopen another famous wound. Reflecting on his 2022 feud with Kanye West — which ignited when Davidson dated Kim Kardashian and Ye went on a very public, very unhinged campaign against him — Davidson quipped: “I was in a beef with Kanye, so I’ve taken shots from better gay Nazis.” The line doubled as a reference to West’s antisemitic remarks from that same period, for which Kanye later issued a public apology, saying: “I regret and am deeply mortified by my actions in that state and am committed to accountability, treatment, and meaningful change. I am not a Nazi or an antisemite. I love Jewish people.”

The Moments That Actually Brought the House Down

Not everything was controversy. Tom Brady showed up ready to settle scores after Hart roasted him mercilessly at Netflix’s 2024 Tom Brady special. Walking out mid-show, Brady delivered a callback to Hart’s 2017 cheating scandal — footage of Hart with model Montia Sabbag in Las Vegas was allegedly used in an extortion attempt, leading to a very public apology to his then-pregnant wife Eniko — with the kind of precision you’d expect from a seven-time Super Bowl champion.

“All right, this won’t take long, because, as you guys know, I’m a busy man,” Brady said. “But I do have a few words for you before I return to my affairs in Las Vegas… Oh, wait, I’m talking about affairs in Las Vegas. Was that off? Not supposed to talk about affairs in Vegas? I think I broke another rule. F*** it. I talked about it.” Eniko was in the audience. She laughed.

Brady also confused Chelsea Handler for Nikki Glaser, saying “What happened to Nikki Glaser? She looks like s–t” before doing a double take: “Oh, my bad. Sorry, Chelsea.” He then turned to Hart and delivered what might have been the evening’s most personal jab: “Unlike your real dad, I actually showed up” — Hart was raised primarily by his mother — before presenting him with a jersey in “newborn size.”

Dwayne Johnson, meanwhile, suggested Hart’s wife deserved “an Academy Award” for pretending to enjoy sleeping with him. Hart sat onstage and took it all.

But the night’s most electric moment belonged to Katt Williams, who arrived as a surprise guest and spent his set doing what he’s spent years perfecting: making Kevin Hart’s life difficult. The two have had a complicated, very public history — Williams went scorched-earth on Hart during his viral 2024 Club Shay Shay appearance, alleging that Hart had repeatedly taken roles originally offered to Williams. Hart had responded by calling any engagement with Williams “extremely beneath me.”

Williams wasted no time establishing why he’d come. “I was surprised they invited me. That’s how little star power you have. They had to start inviting your enemies. I said, ‘I hate him.’ They said, ‘Come anyway.'” He then addressed Hart’s Diddy party attendance — another topic from the Club Shay Shay episode — with characteristic precision: “I want to be clear: just because Kevin went to Diddy parties does not mean he did something wrong. The fact that he gets all quiet when you bring it up — that means he did something wrong!”

By the end of his set, Hart reached out. “I wanna be a brother, I wanna be a friend. Katt, I wanna move on. Can we move on? Can we do that?” Williams shook his hand and pulled him into an embrace. Whether it was a genuine peace offering or just good television is, depending on who you ask on TikTok, still very much up for debate — Williams never actually said yes.

The Roast of Kevin Hart is streaming now on Netflix.

Pete Davidson called Kanye West a “gay Nazi” during Netflix’s The Roast of Kevin Hart on Sunday night

The joke revived Davidson’s infamous feud with West, who relentlessly mocked him during his relationship with Kim Kardashian in 2022

Davidson also made a brutal joke referencing the assassination of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk

Tom Brady crashed the roast for surprise revenge after Hart hosted his own Netflix roast last year

The special is now streaming on Netflix, filmed at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles

Pete Davidson showed up to roast Kevin Hart on Sunday night and walked away having torched pretty much everyone else in the room too — including Kanye West, a man who wasn’t even there.

Netflix’s The Roast of Kevin Hart, filmed at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, was everything you’d expect from a celebrity roast: relentless height jokes, a few genuinely shocking moments, and one comedian who clearly came to play. Davidson, 32, was that comedian. While taking aim at fellow roaster Tony Hinchcliffe — the Kill Tony host who made headlines last fall for cracking offensive jokes about Puerto Rico at a Donald Trump rally — Davidson delivered what became the night’s most talked-about line.

“Tony, nothing you say tonight will hurt my feelings,” Davidson said. “I was in a beef with Kanye, so I’ve taken shots from better gay Nazis.”

The crowd’s reaction was exactly what you’d expect. Davidson leaned into it.

“Oh, you don’t know me?”

He wasn’t done with Hinchcliffe either. “Tony is here looking like both a child molester and the doll they give the child to show where he touched them,” Davidson said, before adding, “Tony reminds me of Charlie Kirk, in that he’s definitely been on camera letting a guy unload in his throat.” Then, almost gleefully: “Kill Tony. Please, someone f**king kill Tony.”

The Kanye Line That Stopped the Room

The Kanye West reference hit differently. Davidson and West’s feud is well-documented — during Davidson’s nine-month relationship with Kim Kardashian, which ran from November 2021 to August 2022, West made the comedian a recurring target on social media, mockingly calling him “Skete” and posting music videos depicting violence against him. A source close to Davidson told Page Six at the time that the former SNL star was “ignoring all of the Kanye hate out of respect for Kim.”

The “gay Nazi” dig lands in a very specific context. West, 48, spent years making antisemitic statements that got him dropped from major brand partnerships including Adidas, Balenciaga and Gap. Then in 2025, he publicly proclaimed his love for Adolf Hitler, called himself a Nazi, and promoted swastika merchandise on his Yeezy website. Earlier this year, he took out a full-page ad in the Wall Street Journal to apologize, writing that he is “not a Nazi or an antisemite” and attributing his behavior to a four-month manic episode tied to his bipolar disorder. “I regret and am deeply mortified by my actions in that state, and am committed to accountability, treatment, and meaningful change,” West wrote. “It does not excuse what I did though.”

West has not publicly responded to being name-dropped at the roast.

Davidson wasn’t the only one who brought up West during the night. Hinchcliffe had already taken his own shot before Davidson even hit the stage: “The closest Pete has come to greatness is when his d*** rubbed up against Kanye’s old c**,” Hinchcliffe said — and Davidson, watching from his seat, was seen nodding his head.

Hart Gets What’s Coming to Him

Of course, the whole night was technically about Kevin Hart, and the roasters made sure he felt it. Lizzo delivered one of the evening’s sharpest lines: “Kevin and I are both mocked for our size, and we share that pain. But I can lose weight — you can’t get taller!” Dwayne Johnson went for a different kind of humor: “I love you, yes, I do. Just to prove it, just last week, I got a Kevin Hart tattoo on my cock. Yeah, life-size too.”

Katt Williams went somewhere darker. “Just because Kevin went to Diddy parties does not mean he did something wrong,” Williams said. “The fact that he gets all quiet when you bring it up — that means he did something wrong.”

But the biggest surprise of the night was Tom Brady, who Hart had roasted on Netflix just last year. Brady crashed the stage clearly relishing every second of his revenge tour.

“Have you even left the Forum, or have you just been here screaming into that mic the last two years waiting for daddy to come home?” Brady said. “Well, unlike your real dad, I actually showed up.”

Brady also gifted Hart a newborn-sized jersey of Knicks star Jalen Brunson — arriving just hours after the Knicks finished sweeping Hart’s beloved Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA playoffs. And he didn’t let Hart’s well-known Vegas cheating scandal slide either, joking about his “affairs in Las Vegas” before shrugging it off: “I think I broke another rule. Fuck it. I talked about it.”

The Kirk joke Davidson made will likely generate the most conversation in the days ahead. Kirk, the conservative commentator and Turning Point USA founder, was fatally shot in September 2025 while speaking at Utah Valley University. He was 31. Joking about a real person’s assassination — even in a roast context — is the kind of thing that tends to follow a comedian around, and Davidson had to know that when he said it.

Then again, this is Pete Davidson. Knowing exactly how far is too far — and going there anyway — has always kind of been the whole thing.

The Roast of Kevin Hart is streaming now on Netflix.

Katt Williams appeared as a surprise guest at The Roast of Kevin Hart on Netflix, live from the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on May 10.

Williams joked that Kevin Hart attending “Diddy parties” only becomes a problem because Hart “gets all quiet when you bring it up.”

Williams and Hart publicly squashed their years-long feud with a handshake and a hug on live television.

Pete Davidson also took the stage and called Kanye West a “better gay Nazi” while firing shots at Tony Hinchcliffe.

The roast served as the grand finale of the 2026 Netflix Is A Joke Fest, hosted by Shane Gillis.

Katt Williams walked into The Roast of Kevin Hart on Sunday night as a surprise guest — and immediately made it the most talked-about moment of the whole show. The comedian, 54, wasted no time going for the jugular, dropping a pointed joke about Sean “Diddy” Combs that had the Kia Forum crowd roaring and social media doing the most.

“Just because Kevin went to Diddy parties does not mean he did something wrong,” Williams quipped. Then came the kicker: “The fact he gets all quiet when you bring it up… that means he did something wrong.”

The joke landed in the context of Diddy’s very real legal reckoning. The disgraced music mogul is currently serving a 50-month prison sentence after being convicted in 2025 on two counts of transportation for prostitution. He was also fined $500,000 and handed five years of supervised release. During his federal trial — which ran from May through July 2025 — witnesses including his former girlfriend Cassie testified in graphic detail about sexual parties called “freak offs.” Diddy has maintained his innocence on all charges.

Williams’ Full Set: Part Roast, Part Reconciliation

The crowd didn’t know Williams was coming. When he was introduced at the Kia Forum, the arena erupted — partly because of who he is, and partly because of what his presence meant. These two men have been trading shots publicly for over a decade.

Williams opened with characteristic self-awareness. “I’m surprised they invited me. That’s how little star power you have. They had to start inviting your enemies. I said, ‘I hate him.’ They said, ‘Come anyway.'”

He kept the energy sharp throughout. “Kevin, I’ve won an Emmy Award, but this is going to be my best acting tonight as I pretend like you are a GOAT for the people at home. You’re wondering, why is the Katt man doing this for the money? Bitch, this is my Riyadh Comedy Festival, only one with a soul.”

On the old industry plant accusations, Williams leaned in rather than backing away — but with a twist. “Kevin, you gonna hear some things tonight that you’re not familiar with. Those things are called punchlines,” he said. “For those of you just joining us, Kevin and I have beef, and I’ll tell you why. Because, privately, this motherf***er stole everything from me. Before he saw my act, he was a 6-foot man. I tried to tell y’all that Kevin Hart was a plant, because I keep burying him. He keeps springing back the f*** up, just like a plant.”

He also took a moment to walk back — sort of — his old “Hollywood puppet” line. “Yes, I said some things I’d like to take back, some things I said were misunderstood. I did say that he was a Hollywood puppet, and I want to explain that because it might not be what you think. I meant that the head of Netflix literally has his whole hand up Kevin’s ass and can make him do anything.”

The Hug Heard Round Comedy

When Williams finished his set, Hart didn’t wait. He grabbed the mic and addressed both the crowd and his longtime rival directly — and it was genuine in a way roasts rarely are.

“Me and this man have been at odds for years on years,” Hart said. “You coming out here, quite the f**king surprise. But, Katt, I can sit and I can watch you, I can laugh, because I’m a f**king fan first, okay? I’m a fan first. Katt, we have an opportunity in real time. This is live television to put our f**king beef behind us. I am offering you an olive branch of peace. I want to be a brother. I want to be a friend, Katt. I want to move on. Can we move on, man?”

Williams walked over. They shook hands. They hugged. The arena lost it.

Later in the night, Hart made it official: “On a serious note, I love the fact that that man showed up tonight. I meant what I said: that beef is over. Katt and I are friends from today moving forward.”

For anyone who’s followed this feud, the moment carried real weight. It started back in 2014 with passive-aggressive jabs about Hollywood sellouts, escalated through Williams calling Hart a “Hollywood puppet” on his 2016 Conspiracy Theory tour, blew up again in 2018 when Williams dragged Tiffany Haddish into it, and hit a fever pitch in 2024 when Williams went on Club Shay Shay with Shannon Sharpe and alleged Hart had been an industry plant from day one — that he arrived in Hollywood already holding deals, with a sitcom and a movie before anyone had ever seen him sell out a comedy club. Hart’s response at the time was a quiet tweet: “Gotta get that anger up outcha champ… It’s honestly sad.” Two years later, they’re hugging on live television.

Pete Davidson Brings Kanye Into It

Williams wasn’t the only one making headlines. Pete Davidson, 32, took the stage and immediately made clear he wasn’t there to play nice — with anyone.

When Tony Hinchcliffe’s name came up, Davidson delivered what might have been the night’s sharpest one-liner: “Tony, nothing you say tonight will hurt my feelings. I was in a beef with Kanye, so I’ve taken shots from better gay Nazis.”

Hinchcliffe had already set up the exchange by going after Davidson first, joking: “The closest Pete has come to greatness is when his d*** rubbed up against Kanye’s old c**.” Davidson, for his part, was seen nodding along from the dais.

The Davidson-West history runs deep. During Davidson’s nine-month relationship with Kim Kardashian — from November 2021 through August 2022 — West publicly tormented him on social media, famously dubbing him “Skete” and posting videos depicting violence against him. Earlier this year, West published an open letter in the Wall Street Journal acknowledging his behavior and attributing it to a four-month manic episode. “I regret and am deeply mortified by my actions in that state,” West wrote. “I am not a Nazi or an antisemite. I love Jewish people.” West had no public response to his name being invoked Sunday night.

The Full Night at the Kia Forum

The roast was the closing event of the 2026 Netflix Is A Joke Fest, hosted by Shane Gillis and broadcast live from Los Angeles. The roasting panel included Chelsea Handler, Draymond Green, Hinchcliffe, Regina Hall, Sheryl Underwood, Jeff Ross, Big Jay Oakerson, and Na’im Lynn. Special guests included Tom Brady — who opened the show and came out swinging, calling himself a much bigger star than Hart and taking a shot at Cowboys fans — along with Usher, Lizzo, Venus and Serena Williams, Teyana Taylor, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

One quieter but genuinely moving moment came from Jeff Ross, the self-styled Roastmaster General, who revealed that Hart had encouraged him to see a doctor — a visit that led to the discovery of colon cancer. Ross said he’s doing better now.

Hart’s wife Eniko was in the front row for all of it. It was Mother’s Day.

By the end of the night, Hart had rattled off a list of sponsors long enough to fill half the runtime, thrown some haymakers of his own, and closed out what turned into something more than a roast. The Katt Williams moment will be the one people are still talking about — not just because of the Diddy joke, but because of what came after it. Two guys who spent years taking shots at each other, finally done.
