Tom Brady made his modeling debut at Gucci’s Cruise 2027 “GucciCore” show in Times Square Saturday night

Brady walked the runway in a head-to-toe black leather outfit that went viral, with fans comparing him to the Terminator

Demna shut down blocks of Broadway for what he called “the most impossible thing” — a first-ever luxury fashion show in Times Square

Cindy Crawford closed the show, with Paris Hilton also walking the runway alongside Brady

Front row included Mariah Carey, Kim Kardashian, Lindsay Lohan, Shawn Mendes, and Lewis Hamilton

Tom Brady has seven Super Bowl rings, a Fox Sports analyst chair, and a minority stake in the Las Vegas Raiders. Now he can add runway model to that list — and the internet has thoughts.

The NFL legend made his modeling debut Saturday night at Gucci’s Cruise 2027 show, a sprawling, genuinely unprecedented fashion spectacle that took over a stretch of Broadway in the heart of Times Square. Brady walked out in a fitted all-black leather jacket, matching leather trousers, heavy black boots, and a black t-shirt — and did not break a sweat. His expression was locked in, his walk was deliberate, and fans immediately lost their minds over it.

The NFL’s official account posted the clip on X with the caption “. @TomBrady makes his runway debut for Gucci in NYC 🐐” — and the replies did what the internet does best. “Is that the T-1000 from Terminator?” one fan wrote. Another offered: “Tom Brady wins 7 rings and retires. Next move: Gucci runway in NYC. Truly not taking any losses.” A third admitted, “Man, I thought this was AI.”

The leather look drew comparisons to the matching Gucci outfits David and Victoria Beckham famously wore during Tom Ford’s era at the house back in 1999 — which, intentional or not, was a very good reference to land on.

The Show Itself Was Something Else Entirely

Brady was just one piece of a much larger and genuinely wild evening. Demna — Gucci’s creative director, who goes by one name — chose Times Square for his first cruise collection debut at the house because, as he put it, it is “the most impossible thing.” He was not being dramatic. Rehearsals were near-impossible given the location, and the entire production had to be loaded in and out within four hours.

“I was talking to my shrink and she was like, ‘You’re ready for this, Demna,'” he said. “This is like an ultimate exercise of letting go of control, because there’s nothing in your control.”

At 8:30 p.m., 50 screens — stretching for blocks across Times Square — flickered off and came back online simultaneously, beaming a series of gonzo Gucci advertisements for products that mostly don’t exist. Gucci Acqua. Gucci Automobili. Gucci Gym. Palazzo Gucci hotel. And Gucci Pets, a line of accessories “for discerning dogs and cats,” as a voiceover solemnly announced. Most of the campaigns appeared to be AI-generated, save for a clip from Fellini’s La Dolce Vita woven in to anchor the Italian identity of it all. A photographer standing nearby reportedly burst into tears when the Fellini clip hit the screens. “I’m Italian, I miss my home,” she explained.

The collection itself was called “GucciCore” and was built around the city that gave Gucci its first home outside of Italy — the brand opened its first U.S. store in New York in 1953. Demna described it as a reflection of “the plurality of styles that intersect like the streets of the city.”

Brady wasn’t the only celebrity stepping onto the runway. Paris Hilton walked too — and in a only-in-New-York moment, her image was simultaneously projected onto a Marriott-branded screen looming above the crowd. “Not a Hilton on a Marriott!” one industry observer messaged a Vanity Fair reporter in real time. Cindy Crawford closed the show in a black evening gown, which felt exactly right.

The Front Row Was Its Own Event

The audience assembled for this thing was a spectacle in itself. Mariah Carey, Lindsay Lohan, and Shawn Mendes took their seats alongside drag queen Lady Bunny — who arrived with a towering blonde bouffant — and legendary NYC party promoter Susanne Bartsch. Broadway director Sam Pinkleton, of Oh, Mary! fame, was there too.

Kim Kardashian, one of Demna’s most enduring muses, attended without Lewis Hamilton, who had been expected to appear. Hamilton was, per reports, also present at the event. Kardashian and Demna’s creative partnership stretches back to his Balenciaga days, and her front-row presence felt less like a celebrity cameo and more like a collaborator showing up for opening night.

Getting to the show was its own adventure. Editors navigated a river of tourists, ducked around barricaded sidewalks, sidestepped a Spider-Man street performer, and passed a whirling 360-degree selfie platform before reaching 48th and Broadway, where a block-long photo call fed into a walled-off slice of asphalt at the base of Times Square’s canyon of screens.

When those screens came on, the crowd went quiet. Standing in the consumerist center of the universe, surrounded by fictional luxury brand campaigns rendered in AI, it landed somewhere between absurdist art installation and genuinely funny commentary on where fashion — and America — actually lives right now. Demna has always been good at that: popping the fashion fantasy just enough to let reality seep in, and making you laugh while he does it.

As for Brady — the 48-year-old who spent 23 seasons rewriting NFL record books before retiring in 2023 — this is just the latest move in a post-football life that keeps expanding in unexpected directions. Whether he walks another runway or chalks this up as a one-time thing remains to be seen. But if the Terminator comparisons are any indication, he made an impression.

Brady has made a habit of honoring both women publicly on Mother’s Day, calling them “incredible moms” last year

The posts come as Brady, retired since 2023, has increasingly emphasized family as his focus post-NFL

Tom Brady kept his Mother’s Day tradition alive on Sunday — and fans are here for it. The retired seven-time Super Bowl champion took to his Instagram Stories to honor the mothers in his life, including both of his exes, Gisele Bündchen and Bridget Moynahan, in a gesture that’s become one of the more quietly touching things he does each year.

Brady opened with a tribute to his mom, Galynn, sharing a photo of her cradling a sleeping Vivian — his 13-year-old daughter with Bündchen — on the couch. “Happy Mother’s Day to the best mom in the world,” he wrote. “This picture perfectly sums up who you are Mom.”

Then came the posts that caught everyone’s attention. First, a throwback image of Bündchen, 45, kissing her stepson Jack, 18, while Moynahan, 55, stands smiling beside them. “Happy Mother’s Day,” Brady wrote, with three red heart emojis. In a second photo, Bündchen is seen relaxed in bed, cuddled up with all three of Brady’s kids — Jack, and her and Brady’s two children, Benjamin, 16, and Vivian. “Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mothers in this world,” he added.

A Blended Family That Works

Brady and Moynahan dated from 2004 to 2006. By the time she discovered she was pregnant with Jack, the relationship had already ended — and Brady had begun dating Bündchen. Jack arrived in 2007, and Brady and Bündchen married in 2009, welcoming Benjamin and Vivian before their divorce was finalized in 2022.

What could easily have been a complicated dynamic has, at least publicly, been something different. Brady, Bündchen, and Moynahan have all spoken over the years about keeping things positive for the sake of the kids — and these annual Mother’s Day posts feel like the most visible proof of that.

Last year, Brady called both women “incredible moms” he is “lucky” to know, and praised them as “kind, caring, compassionate and POWERFUL moms,” adding, “None of this would be possible without your love.” This year’s posts carry the same warmth, even if the words are simpler.

Bündchen, for her part, has spoken candidly about the realities of co-parenting. She told Harper’s Bazaar that she and Brady have “different ways” of raising their kids, which sometimes leads to “pushback” from the teenagers. It’s a refreshingly honest note amid what could otherwise look like a perfectly curated blended-family image.

Bündchen has since moved on and married her former Jiu-Jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente, with whom she welcomed a baby boy in early 2025. She addressed speculation that their relationship began before her divorce from Brady in a 2024 interview with The New York Times. “This is something that happens to a lot of women who get blamed when they have the courage to leave an unhealthy relationship and are labeled as being unfaithful,” she said. “They have to deal with their communities. They have to deal with their family. Of course, for me, it just happens to be a little bit amplified.”

Brady on Family, Post-Football

Since retiring from the NFL in February 2023, Brady has been open about the emotional weight of his final season. “I was going through a personal family issue,” he said of the 2022-2023 season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. “It was a challenge, and it just took a lot out of me in terms of my ability to play.”

That chapter behind him, Brady has leaned into fatherhood in a way he’s described as intentional. Back in August, inspired by Jack turning 18, he wrote in his newsletter about what the milestone made him reflect on. “When people hit milestone anniversaries and birthdays, like Jack just did, it’s natural to take a step back and reflect on how far they’ve come,” he wrote. “Baked into those moments of reflection is a really important question that I think a lot of people sometimes forget to ask: Who helped them along the way?”

He went on: “Nobody is perfect, everyone has room to grow and improve — this is especially true as parents — but seeing Jack with his friends felt like, hey, we got this one right. My goal now, in this phase of life, is to be equally good company to Jack and Benny and Vivian.”

For a man who spent 23 seasons being defined by championships and records, it’s a quieter kind of legacy he seems to be building now — one post, one holiday, one family photo at a time.

Tom Brady made a surprise appearance at Netflix’s The Roast of Kevin Hart on Sunday, May 10 at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California.

Brady returned fire on Hart two years after Hart hosted Brady’s own brutal 2024 Netflix roast.

Draymond Green sat on the dais and got roasted by Brady, The Rock, Pete Davidson, Jeff Ross, Shane Gillis and more.

Brady hit on Hart’s wife Eniko, made a dig at Hart’s 2017 affair, and called Cowboys fans bandwagoners — all in one cameo.

Green has a big offseason ahead, with a potential opt-out from his Golden State Warriors contract on the table.

Tom Brady showed up to Kevin Hart’s Netflix roast on Sunday night wearing all black and carrying a child-sized New York Knicks jersey — and he absolutely did not come to play nice.

Two years after Hart served as the gleefully merciless host of Netflix’s The Greatest Roast of All Time: The Roast of Tom Brady, the retired quarterback made a surprise appearance at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California for The Roast of Kevin Hart — part of the Netflix Is a Joke Fest 2026 — and delivered what might be the best cameo of the entire roast era so far.

Hart had set the stage himself. Before Brady walked out, the comedian was onstage telling the crowd he was going to be a way better sport than Brady was in 2024. “Tom is a bitch,” Hart declared. “Tom sat there the whole time with the fucking white man’s face. He was a fucking bitch. I ain’t no bitch.”

Then Brady strolled out from backstage.

“Jesus, do you ever shut the fuck up?” Brady said, cutting Hart off mid-sentence. “Have you even left the Forum, or have you just been here screaming into that mic the last two years waiting for daddy to come home? Well, unlike your real dad, I actually showed up.”

He then handed Hart the miniature Knicks jersey. “That’s newborn size,” Brady said. “It fits you.” He called the comedian a “fucking hobbit” for good measure.

Brady wasn’t done. He went after Hart’s legacy, his roast lineup, his Eagles fandom, and — in the most talked-about moment of the night — his wife.

Brady Goes After Hart’s Affair, His Eagles Fandom, and His Wife

“I’m a busy man, but I do have a few words for you before I return to my affairs in Las Vegas,” Brady said onstage. “Oh, wait, I’m talking about affairs in Las Vegas. Was that off? Not supposed to talk about affairs in Vegas? I think I broke another rule. Fuck it. I talked about it.”

The joke was a direct callback to Hart’s 2017 scandal, when he cheated on his then-pregnant wife Eniko while in Las Vegas — something Hart has since publicly acknowledged. Brady, who holds a minority ownership stake in the Las Vegas Raiders, knew exactly what he was doing.

He also went after Hart’s love of the Philadelphia Eagles, landing a double jab that got the crowd going. “It looks like we actually have some real Eagles fans here. Not like Kevin, who only shows up for the big games when the Eagles are playing well. You know, Kev, we actually have a name for those people. They’re called Cowboys fans.”

Brady went 7-0 against Dallas in the regular season during his career, so that one landed with full authority behind it.

Then he turned his attention to the roast panel itself — Shane Gillis, Chelsea Handler, Draymond Green, Sheryl Underwood, Big Jay Oakerson — and dismissed them entirely. “Who are these people and how did they get here? I thought they shut down Spirit Airlines.”

And then came the moment that made Hart visibly squirm. Brady spotted Eniko Hart in the audience. “Kevin, you took a lot of shots at my family in the roast. But I’m too classy to go after your beautiful wife. Or am I?” He looked right at her. “What’s up, girl?”

Hart yelled “Cut it out!” from his seat.

Brady walked off the stage with one final line: “Payback’s a bitch — and so are you, Kevin Hart.”

Draymond Green Got His Own Roasting Too

Brady wasn’t the only one with material on Draymond Green. The Golden State Warriors forward sat on the dais for the entire evening as part of the roast panel, which meant he spent the night absorbing jokes from basically everyone in the building.

Brady got the first shot in: “Draymond Green is here. For now. He’ll probably get thrown out in the next 10 minutes. You know we’re not roasting Steve Kerr, right?”

Kevin Hart kept it simple and surgical: “Draymond’s only here because he’s not in the NBA Playoffs.”

The Rock went a different direction entirely. “Of all the cool-ass Black names you could have, that is the laziest fucking Black name I’ve ever heard. Because all you did was put a D in front of Raymond.”

Jeff Ross went for the jugular on the Steph Curry dynamic: “Steph Curry couldn’t make it tonight, but he did carry Draymond Green all the way here.”

Pete Davidson asked: “Why do you look blacker than usual? Is it because you got burnt by the Suns?”

Shane Gillis had two good ones. First: “Draymond Green is the first player to make four All-Star teams for just setting picks.” Then the one that really cut: “Draymond Green has four NBA championships the way Ringo Starr has 11 number one albums.”

Tony Hinchcliffe went personal: “He has paid $4 million in fines. Did you name your daughter Cash because you plan on losing her anyway?”

By all accounts, Green took it well — though fans online joked they were half-expecting him to lose his cool. He reportedly fired back with a burn at Hart involving his own three-point shooting, which is very on-brand.

https://x.com/netflixsports/status/2053645768095879320

A Star-Studded Night at the Kia Forum

The show was hosted by Shane Gillis, with the full roast panel including Chelsea Handler, Pete Davidson, Jeff Ross, Tony Hinchcliffe, Lizzo, Na’im Lynn, Regina Hall, Big Jay Oakerson, Sheryl Underwood and Green. In the audience: Jennifer Lopez, John Stamos, Machine Gun Kelly, Seth Green, Tracee Ellis Ross and Jay Shetty.

Brady was noticeably more relaxed than he looked during his own 2024 roast, where he spent the evening absorbing jokes about his divorce from Gisele Bündchen, his crypto losses, and his relationship with trainer Alex Guerrero. Nikki Glaser had one of the night’s sharpest lines that evening: “Tom also lost $30 million in crypto. Tom, how did you fall for that? Even Gronk was like, ‘Me know that not real money!'”

Bill Belichick was also at the 2024 roast and gave as good as he got. “It was hard to butt heads with Tom because he was so far up Alex Guerrero’s ass,” Belichick said. Brady, in turn, got to dig into his former coach: “Everybody asks me which ring is my favorite. I used to say, ‘The next one.’ But now that I’m retired, my favorite ring is the camera that caught Coach Belichick slinking out of that poor girl’s house at 6 a.m.”

Sunday night was a different Brady — looser, sharper, clearly having fun. He’s been building his media presence since retiring, and between his Fox Sports role and his Raiders ownership stake, he’s found his footing in this next chapter. Sunday confirmed it.

As for Green, he’s got a big summer ahead regardless of how the roast went. The Warriors missed the playoffs this season, and Green could opt out of his contract and hit free agency — or sign an extension now that Steve Kerr has returned as head coach. Either way, the four-time champion gave the crowd a good laugh and walked out with his reputation intact.

Which, given the company on that stage, is probably the best anyone can hope for.
