Paris Hilton debuted dark brunette hair with side-swept bangs at the Gucci Cruise 2027 show on May 16 in New York City

The appearance marks her first runway walk in nearly three years, since the Mugler Spring/Summer 2024 show in October 2023

Hilton wore a highlighter yellow bow-collar dress, Gucci’s signature green-red belt, knee-high black boots, and a fuzzy draped coat

The new look was designed by Gucci creative director Demna Gvasalia, making his debut with the house

Hilton celebrated the night on Instagram, writing “Brunette Paris” in one of several Stories she posted from the event

Paris Hilton has been synonymous with platinum blonde hair for so long that seeing her any other way feels like a glitch in the matrix — which is exactly what happened when she stepped onto the Gucci Cruise 2027 runway in New York City on May 16.

The 45-year-old Simple Life alum traded in her famous light locks for a deep, almost-black brunette hue, worn long and silky straight with a fresh set of side-swept bangs. Fans watching online did a full double-take. Even Hilton seemed to get a kick out of it — she reposted multiple videos from the show to her Instagram Stories, captioning one simply: “Brunette Paris.”

The rest of the look matched the drama of the hair change. Hilton walked in a highlighter yellow long-sleeved dress with a pussy bow collar and full pleated midi skirt, featuring a spin on Gucci’s iconic horse hardware print. She cinched it with the house’s instantly recognizable green and red belt, added knee-high black boots, draped a fuzzy coat over one shoulder, and carried a bright red box bag. It was a maximalist Gucci moment from head to toe — and the dark hair made it land differently than anything she’s worn in years.

Her First Runway in Almost Three Years

This was no casual front-row appearance. The Gucci show marked Hilton’s first runway walk since she closed out the Mugler Womenswear Spring/Summer 2024 show during Paris Fashion Week back in October 2023 — making the return feel genuinely significant. The timing was notable too: the Gucci Cruise 2027 collection was creative director Demna Gvasalia’s debut with the house, and Hilton was right there for it.

After the show, she made sure everyone knew how she felt about the night. “Hit the runway for @demna’s debut @gucci Cruise collection,” she wrote in one Instagram Story. In another: “Such a magical night. Thank you @demna @gucci.”

The transformation is a striking stylistic pivot from where Hilton was just weeks ago — she’d shown up to a Barbie pop-up event looking every inch the iconic doll, pink two-piece and platinum blonde in full effect. The brunette runway look feels like a different chapter entirely.

Life Beyond the Runway

Of course, Hilton’s world extends well past fashion moments right now. She and husband Carter Reum are parents to son Phoenix, 2, and daughter London, 1, both welcomed via surrogate. In a recent Us Weekly cover story, she was refreshingly open about how much motherhood has changed her.

“[My kids] are my everything,” she said. “I’ve always wanted to be a mom and now [I have] these two little angels who are [so] fun, and sweet and smart.” She also gushed about Reum, calling him “so sweet and fun and gentle and an amazing dad.”

Speaking to InStyle last October, she went even deeper: “Being a mom has been the most incredible thing in the world. When I look at Phoenix and London, I see the future, and I want that future to be full of love, empathy, and inclusion.”

And she’s not slowing down professionally either. Hilton told Us she has a third album on the way with a full tour planned, a skincare line called Parívie in the works, and continued expansion through her company 11:11 Media — including a move into her own hotels. “I’m going to continue leaving my sparkle everywhere that I go,” she told InStyle.

Just maybe in a different hair color than we expected.

Bella Hadid arrived at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival in a vintage Prada Sport spring 1999 set with metallic Puma Speedcat sneakers

She wore a pale gray satin column gown with Chopard diamonds to the premiere of Garance, accompanied by brother Anwar Hadid

Her off-duty wardrobe has been a deep dive into archival fashion, including rare Alaïa, Chantal Thomass, and vintage Prada pieces

Bella also marked nine years at the festival with a nostalgic Instagram throwback, including a fiery red plunging gown with a sky-high slit

She is attending as a Chopard ambassador and Prada Beauty’s first-ever global beauty ambassador

Nobody does Cannes quite like Bella Hadid. And nine years in, she’s still finding new ways to make the Croisette feel like her personal runway.

The 29-year-old supermodel and Ôrebella perfume founder touched down at Nice Airport on May 15 in what has already become one of the festival’s most-talked-about airport looks: a silver-blue sleeveless zip-up top and matching capri pants from Prada’s spring 1999 collection, accented with the brand’s signature red Sport label. She finished the look with a vintage black leather Prada tote stuffed with a thick binder and corded headphones, a gold watch, thin bangles, and a pair of metallic silver Puma Speedcat sneakers — a slim racing-shoe silhouette that was relaunched in 2024 and has since become a full-blown celebrity obsession. Her angular silver-framed sunglasses did the rest.

It’s the kind of outfit that looks effortless and is anything but. Stylist Mimi Cuttrell paired the nearly 30-year-old set with the Speedcats deliberately — the tomato-red Prada Sport trim echoing the sneakers’ black-and-silver detailing. As Prada Beauty’s first-ever global beauty ambassador, and fresh off modeling four looks in Miuccia Prada’s Fall 2026 show, Hadid has access to the archives that most people can only dream about. She also wore custom Prada to the Vanity Fair Oscar Party earlier this year, so clearly the relationship runs deep.

For anyone who wants in on the look: her exact Puma Speedcats retail for $100 and were briefly available on ASOS for $80. Don’t hold your breath on stock lasting.

A Vintage Wardrobe Built for the French Riviera

Once settled in, Hadid leaned fully into what Vogue aptly called a “fun and free-spirited” archival wardrobe — the kind of fashion deep-cut curation that has become her signature at this festival.

Spotted leaving the legendary Cap-Eden-Roc hotel in Antibes before boarding a private boat to the festival, she was wearing a pink gingham crop top and low-waisted co-ord set from Chantal Thomass spring 1988 — a sweet two-piece she paired with Chopard Happy Hearts bracelets, a Shay Pavé diamond pinky ring, retro white oval sunglasses, and pale pink pointy pumps sourced from The Vintage Marché. She was dancing on the jetty with a friend, smile wide, looking every bit like she’d been summering on the Riviera her entire life.

Later, departing the boat for lunch with her mother, Yolanda Hadid, she changed into a dusty rose Alaïa spring 2003 halter dress — a keyhole-neckline piece with a close-fit bodice that falls into a drop waist and a wispy, butterfly-wing hemline. The dress was sourced by Cuttrell from Paris-based vintage seller Emerieu, whose founder Mathilde Gaudier had a feeling it was destined for Bella specifically.

“We regularly source vintage Alaïa pieces because few designers understood the female form the way Azzedine Alaïa did,” Gaudier said. “When this spring 2003 dress came to us, we had a feeling Bella would be its perfect match — and it seems Bella’s styling team felt exactly the same way.” (Gaudier also revealed she’s bought the same dress in multiple colorways, including a sumptuous emerald green.) Hadid styled it with a vintage Prada cream crochet tote from The Vintage Marché, tortoiseshell sunglasses, and snakeskin Manolo Blahnik pumps from Shop Élléments.

On another outing, she stepped out from her hotel in white bell-bottom pants and a sheer white camisole edged in lace with a green and red floral print, a matching scarf knotted at her neck, oversized sunglasses, a green purse, and stacked gold bangles. She also made a point of stopping by a Chopard billboard she stars in — because of course she did.

The Red Carpet Moment Everyone Was Waiting For

On Saturday night, Hadid stepped onto the Palais des Festivals steps for the premiere of Jeanne Herry’s Garance, and she delivered exactly what the Croisette expects from her.

The gown: a strapless pale gray satin column dress, its ruched neckline covered in matching beads, the skirt trailing behind her in a sweeping fabric train. Over it, she wore a matching wrap that fell off her shoulders and cropped at the waist — elegant without being fussy. Her hair was swept into an updo, and she wore a white gold Chopard jewelry set featuring earrings and several diamond rings. White pointed-toe pumps completed the look. Brother Anwar Hadid was by her side for the screening.

It’s the kind of red carpet moment that photographs in slow motion in your head — understated in color, completely commanding in presence.

Nine Years and Counting

Shortly after arriving in Cannes, Hadid posted an Instagram throwback celebrating her history with the festival. “Nine years of my favorite week,” she captioned a slideshow of past looks — including a fiery red one-shoulder gown with ruched waist detailing, side cutouts, and an ultra-high slit that resurfaced as a reminder of just how long she’s been setting this festival’s fashion agenda.

The history is genuinely staggering. There have been Chanel fall 1986 ball gowns and the gilded Schiaparelli lung corset of 2021 — still one of the most-discussed red carpet looks of the decade. The barely-there Saint Laurent dress from last year, which arrived just hours after the festival announced a new dress code banning nudity and voluminous trains. (Hadid wore it anyway, with a slit up to there, and the internet lost its mind.) Jean Paul Gaultier corsets. Roberto Cavalli thigh slits. A vintage Gianni Versace mini on the Croisette. Licking ice cream in a Hushidar Mortezaie dress patchworked from keffiyeh fabric on the Plage du Midi.

As Vogue put it, she “occupies a more symbolic role in the cultural imagination of Cannes than the actors and filmmakers the festival ostensibly honors.” That might sound hyperbolic until you actually look at the archive — and then it just sounds accurate.

Between red carpet appearances, she’s also been spotted on a yacht near Cannes, diving off the boat in a tiny pink bikini while friends looked on. This is Bella Hadid’s Cannes, and the rest of us are just watching.

The 2026 festival has been a particularly fashion-forward edition, with Dua Lipa, Sandra Hüller, and a jury that includes Demi Moore and Ruth Negga all adding to the Croisette’s style energy. But with several more days still to go, the only real question is what Hadid pulls out next.

Tom Brady made his modeling debut at Gucci’s Cruise 2027 “GucciCore” show in Times Square Saturday night

Brady walked the runway in a head-to-toe black leather outfit that went viral, with fans comparing him to the Terminator

Demna shut down blocks of Broadway for what he called “the most impossible thing” — a first-ever luxury fashion show in Times Square

Cindy Crawford closed the show, with Paris Hilton also walking the runway alongside Brady

Front row included Mariah Carey, Kim Kardashian, Lindsay Lohan, Shawn Mendes, and Lewis Hamilton

Tom Brady has seven Super Bowl rings, a Fox Sports analyst chair, and a minority stake in the Las Vegas Raiders. Now he can add runway model to that list — and the internet has thoughts.

The NFL legend made his modeling debut Saturday night at Gucci’s Cruise 2027 show, a sprawling, genuinely unprecedented fashion spectacle that took over a stretch of Broadway in the heart of Times Square. Brady walked out in a fitted all-black leather jacket, matching leather trousers, heavy black boots, and a black t-shirt — and did not break a sweat. His expression was locked in, his walk was deliberate, and fans immediately lost their minds over it.

The NFL’s official account posted the clip on X with the caption “. @TomBrady makes his runway debut for Gucci in NYC 🐐” — and the replies did what the internet does best. “Is that the T-1000 from Terminator?” one fan wrote. Another offered: “Tom Brady wins 7 rings and retires. Next move: Gucci runway in NYC. Truly not taking any losses.” A third admitted, “Man, I thought this was AI.”

The leather look drew comparisons to the matching Gucci outfits David and Victoria Beckham famously wore during Tom Ford’s era at the house back in 1999 — which, intentional or not, was a very good reference to land on.

The Show Itself Was Something Else Entirely

Brady was just one piece of a much larger and genuinely wild evening. Demna — Gucci’s creative director, who goes by one name — chose Times Square for his first cruise collection debut at the house because, as he put it, it is “the most impossible thing.” He was not being dramatic. Rehearsals were near-impossible given the location, and the entire production had to be loaded in and out within four hours.

“I was talking to my shrink and she was like, ‘You’re ready for this, Demna,'” he said. “This is like an ultimate exercise of letting go of control, because there’s nothing in your control.”

At 8:30 p.m., 50 screens — stretching for blocks across Times Square — flickered off and came back online simultaneously, beaming a series of gonzo Gucci advertisements for products that mostly don’t exist. Gucci Acqua. Gucci Automobili. Gucci Gym. Palazzo Gucci hotel. And Gucci Pets, a line of accessories “for discerning dogs and cats,” as a voiceover solemnly announced. Most of the campaigns appeared to be AI-generated, save for a clip from Fellini’s La Dolce Vita woven in to anchor the Italian identity of it all. A photographer standing nearby reportedly burst into tears when the Fellini clip hit the screens. “I’m Italian, I miss my home,” she explained.

The collection itself was called “GucciCore” and was built around the city that gave Gucci its first home outside of Italy — the brand opened its first U.S. store in New York in 1953. Demna described it as a reflection of “the plurality of styles that intersect like the streets of the city.”

Brady wasn’t the only celebrity stepping onto the runway. Paris Hilton walked too — and in a only-in-New-York moment, her image was simultaneously projected onto a Marriott-branded screen looming above the crowd. “Not a Hilton on a Marriott!” one industry observer messaged a Vanity Fair reporter in real time. Cindy Crawford closed the show in a black evening gown, which felt exactly right.

The Front Row Was Its Own Event

The audience assembled for this thing was a spectacle in itself. Mariah Carey, Lindsay Lohan, and Shawn Mendes took their seats alongside drag queen Lady Bunny — who arrived with a towering blonde bouffant — and legendary NYC party promoter Susanne Bartsch. Broadway director Sam Pinkleton, of Oh, Mary! fame, was there too.

Kim Kardashian, one of Demna’s most enduring muses, attended without Lewis Hamilton, who had been expected to appear. Hamilton was, per reports, also present at the event. Kardashian and Demna’s creative partnership stretches back to his Balenciaga days, and her front-row presence felt less like a celebrity cameo and more like a collaborator showing up for opening night.

Getting to the show was its own adventure. Editors navigated a river of tourists, ducked around barricaded sidewalks, sidestepped a Spider-Man street performer, and passed a whirling 360-degree selfie platform before reaching 48th and Broadway, where a block-long photo call fed into a walled-off slice of asphalt at the base of Times Square’s canyon of screens.

When those screens came on, the crowd went quiet. Standing in the consumerist center of the universe, surrounded by fictional luxury brand campaigns rendered in AI, it landed somewhere between absurdist art installation and genuinely funny commentary on where fashion — and America — actually lives right now. Demna has always been good at that: popping the fashion fantasy just enough to let reality seep in, and making you laugh while he does it.

As for Brady — the 48-year-old who spent 23 seasons rewriting NFL record books before retiring in 2023 — this is just the latest move in a post-football life that keeps expanding in unexpected directions. Whether he walks another runway or chalks this up as a one-time thing remains to be seen. But if the Terminator comparisons are any indication, he made an impression.

The United States Postal Service has asked the iconic designer to curate “American Icons,” a 13-stamp Forever stamp pane celebrating the nation’s 250th anniversary — and in doing so, made him the first individual in postal history to curate a complete official USPS stamp issuance.

“In celebration of America’s 250th birthday, it is an honor to have been invited by the U.S. Postal Service to curate this special stamp collection,” Lauren said. “I love America, and these images symbolize the many ideals and aspirations that bind us together. They are icons of our country — authentic, timeless and passed down through generations — and reflect the dream of a better life that has always inspired me.”

For Lauren — a 2025 Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient and the first fashion designer ever to receive that honor — this moment carries a particular weight. His son David Lauren, vice chairman and chief branding and innovation officer for the brand, put it simply: “This is beyond our dreams.”

The Stories Behind the Stamps

Twelve of the stamps carry the “American Icons” title alongside “Forever” and “USA” in white text. The 13th is a replica of Lauren’s knit flag design, reading “1776 to 2026.” Together, they form a visual mood board that has quietly shaped the Ralph Lauren brand’s identity for decades — pulled directly from the designer’s personal archives.

The images include a baseball glove used by Jackie Robinson, a worn Ford pickup truck, the Empire State Building, horses running free, a dog, a hamburger, a barn, a lighthouse, a racing sailboat, a teddy bear, an American flag blowing in the wind, and a Diné (Navajo) blanket woven by Naiomi Glasses, a Native American artist who worked with Lauren through the brand’s Artist in Residence program in 2023.

Each one lands with personal meaning. The Empire State Building, for instance, is where Lauren started his career — selling neckties out of a borrowed drawer in an office, taking the train down from the Bronx with no money and a whole lot of ambition. “He built a company from that,” David said.

The Jackie Robinson baseball glove carries its own layered history. Lauren grew up in the Bronx idolizing DiMaggio, Mantle, and Robinson, and Jackie Robinson’s granddaughter spent 25 years working directly for him on the company’s people and development team. “Baseball was about integration. Baseball was about Jackie Robinson. Baseball was about heroes,” David said. “It can be symbolized in the sport of baseball.”

The Ford pickup truck, weathered and faded, was originally owned by a rancher near the Lauren family’s Colorado home. Ralph was so taken by its rugged patina that he spent months asking to buy it until the rancher finally agreed. It became the symbol of his Double RL ranch.

The Navajo blanket is a nod to a part of American heritage Lauren has celebrated since 1980, when he first traveled out West and drew from Navajo prints and patterns for a collection. “An important heritage of American culture that’s not often recognized is the Navajo craft,” David said. “This is a way to pay homage and celebrate the Navajo craft.”

And the teddy bear? Beyond its warmth as a childhood symbol, David pointed out that it traces back to Teddy Roosevelt’s conservation efforts — a piece of American history that aligns with Lauren’s own legacy of preservation, including his $10 million donation in 1998 to conserve the 1813 Star-Spangled Banner flag at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History.

A Capsule Collection to Match

The stamps don’t arrive alone. Lauren is also releasing a small commemorative capsule collection — an American flag sweater reimagining the 2026 U.S. Flag stamp, a classic Polo Shirt, and a Ball Cap. The capsule drops June 9 at select Ralph Lauren retail stores globally and on RalphLauren.com, the same day as the official stamp dedication ceremony.

That ceremony takes place at 11 a.m. at the James A. Farley Post Office Building in New York. Anyone who wants to attend can register at usps.com/americaniconsstamps. Starting June 9, the stamps will be available at post office locations nationwide, select Ralph Lauren stores, and online — sold as a commemorative pane, portfolio, postcard pack, or pin card.

“The Postal Service and the United States share a 250-year legacy rooted in binding the nation,” said USPS vice president of marketing Sheila Holman. “His remarkable visual archive beautifully captures the aspirational spirit and shared values that have united Americans since before our nation’s founding.”

David Lauren said the USPS and his father had been in conversations for years but could never find the right moment. The country’s 250th anniversary changed that. “We didn’t realize how major they were dreaming,” he said. What it ultimately shows, he added, is something his father has always embodied: “They think of him as a curator of American taste, culture and style. He’s transcended fashion.”

For a kid who once rode the train down from the Bronx with a drawer full of neckties and a dream, that’s a pretty good stamp of approval.

Taylor Swift wore a $1,190 Stella McCartney peplum top to dinner at NYC’s exclusive Zero Bond club on May 14

Her bodyguard was spotted hauling a Stella McCartney garment bag to her door earlier that same day

Swift has been spotted in white outfits multiple times this week, leaning into what fans are calling her “bridal era”

Her wedding to Travis Kelce is reportedly set for July 3, 2026 in New York City

Swift is personally calling friends to invite them and keeping details tightly under wraps

Taylor Swift had her outfit hand-delivered — literally — before stepping out in New York City on Thursday night. The 36-year-old was spotted heading into Zero Bond, Manhattan’s members-only dinner club, wearing a crisp white Stella McCartney peplum cotton poplin shirt that retails for $1,190, cinched at the waist with a thin black belt and paired with loose tan trousers.

Earlier that same day, her bodyguard was photographed outside her NYC home hauling a large white garment bag and a Stella McCartney shopping bag — making it pretty clear where the evening’s look came from. Swift has a long-standing relationship with the British designer; the two were recently spotted sitting next to each other at a Paul McCartney concert in Los Angeles.

For accessories, Swift went understated but expensive: black sandals from the Row ($1,150) and a small black Fendi bag that runs $4,450. Her long hair was worn down in waves with her signature blunt bangs. The whole look was effortlessly polished — the kind of outfit that reads casual until you do the math.

A Week Full of White — and a Wedding on the Horizon

The Stella McCartney moment wasn’t the only head-turning white look Swift served this week. On Tuesday, she celebrated close friend Lena Dunham’s 40th birthday at Via Carota, a beloved Italian spot in NYC’s West Village, wearing a sleek white Retrofete minidress paired with Gucci ankle-strap heels, a black Christian Dior mini bag, and her now-famous engagement ring. The birthday dinner drew a fun crowd — Andrew Rannells, Emily Ratajkowski, director Romain Gavras, Swift’s longtime bestie Ashley Avignone, and Dunham’s husband, musician Luis Felber, all turned up for the occasion. Rannells posted a snap from the night on his Instagram Story, jokingly thanking Dunham for taking the photo so he “can seem cool for the kids.”

The night before that, Swift was spotted with her family — parents Scott and Andrea Swift and brother Austin — at The Eighty Six, another West Village restaurant, this time in a black Valentino minidress with a crystal-embellished bodice and matching Christian Louboutin peep-toe heels. So yes, she’s been out every night this week, and she looks incredible every time.

Fans have been quick to notice the recurring white-outfit theme, and the timing makes it feel intentional. Swift and Travis Kelce are reportedly set to marry on July 3, 2026, in New York City — save-the-dates have reportedly gone out to guests, though neither Swift nor Kelce has confirmed the details publicly. According to TMZ, Swift has been personally calling friends to invite them to the wedding and is keeping specifics locked down tight after early leaks.

The couple got engaged in August 2025, and Swift has been open about how perfectly Kelce pulled it off. On The Graham Norton Show last October, she recalled the moment: “He really crushed it in surprising me. While we were talking on his podcast, he had a complete garden built out the back of his house to propose in. He went all out — 10 out of 10.”

Their joint Instagram announcement at the time was pure them: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”

With the wedding now less than two months away, every white look Swift steps out in feels like a countdown. And if Thursday’s Stella McCartney moment is any indication of the bridal energy she’s bringing to July 3 — the guests are in for something.

Sabrina Carpenter, Miley Cyrus, Anya Taylor-Joy, Al Pacino and dozens more stars filled the front row

The 75-look collection drew on Marlene Dietrich, Marilyn Monroe and classic Hollywood, filtered through Anderson’s modern lens

The after-party at Chateau Marmont got so packed that Jeff Goldblum and Tracee Ellis Ross slipped out early

Jonathan Anderson didn’t just stage a fashion show at LACMA Wednesday night. He made a statement about what Dior is becoming — and what Hollywood still means to the world’s most storied couture house.

The setting alone announced the ambition. LACMA’s newly opened David Geffen Galleries — designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Peter Zumthor — became a cinematic dreamscape for the hour, its monolithic curving cement walls draped in fog, vintage convertibles parked along the runway, streetlamps casting moody shadows as the bassline from Air’s “Sexy Boy” bounced off hard concrete. Convertible headlights washed over glitter-slicked gowns and metallic knits. It felt less like a fashion presentation than a film set someone forgot to stop rolling on.

The front row was, quite literally, a Hollywood power grid. Sabrina Carpenter — fresh off wearing custom Dior while headlining Coachella and a Dior dress made from Sabrina film strips to last week’s Met Gala — arrived in Look One from the runway itself, a buttery yellow ruffled dress. Anya Taylor-Joy kept it sleek in a little black dress. Miley Cyrus, newly blonde, went conspicuously casual in denim on denim, which, as it turned out, was entirely on theme.

Miles Teller, Mikey Madison, Macaulay Culkin, Tracee Ellis Ross, Taylor Russell, Miranda Kerr, LaKeith Stanfield, Jeff Goldblum, Jisoo, Greta Lee (cute parents in tow), Gia Coppola, Lauren Hutton and Dior executive Delphine Arnault filled out a crowd that also included industry heavyweights — Amazon’s Sue Kroll, UTA’s Dan Constable, producer Brian Grazer, director Sean Baker, composer Danny Elfman and costume designer Ruth E. Carter. Paul W. Downs and Macaulay Culkin both wore Anderson’s new New Look jacket, which has quietly become the menswear piece of the season for men and women alike.

And then there was Al Pacino, who arrived with his earbuds still in, radiating his signature curmudgeonly energy, utterly unbothered by the spectacle around him. Honestly, iconic.

The fashion house thoughtfully supplied everyone with little Dior blankets to ward off the evening chill. Because of course they did.

A Love Letter to Old Hollywood, Written in a New Hand

Anderson’s starting point was a specific, loaded moment in fashion history: Christian Dior’s costumes for Marlene Dietrich in the 1950 film Stage Fright. Dietrich, famously, had told Alfred Hitchcock and her Warner Bros. bosses, “No Dior, no Dietrich!” while negotiating for the couturier to dress her — and that iron-willed glamour became the collection’s spiritual backbone.

But Anderson didn’t simply recreate. The nipped-waist suiting, garden-party florals, feathers and furs were present in spirit, translated into something a woman would actually want to live in. Seventy-five looks walked the W.M. Keck Plaza, evoking Marilyn Monroe, Sophia Loren and Audrey Hepburn in shimmering, fringed, off-the-shoulder silhouettes — but distilled with wearability in mind.

The collection opened with a trio of gorgeous chiffon drop-waist dresses decorated with rosettes, setting florals as the throughline: a gown blanketed in California poppies, whimsical scarves resembling bouquets, bias-cut dresses sprouting petals and embroidery. Faux fur robe coats and feathered slipper shoes conjured a starlet’s boudoir. Some models wore dramatic feathered hats spelling out “DIOR” in large, stylized lettering — playful and architectural at once.

Denim ran through it all, building on Anderson’s Fall 2026 collection: fuzzy textured styles, ripped versions, crystal-embroidered takes. LaKeith Stanfield in distressed denim cargo shorts and jacket in the audience felt like a deliberate extension of the runway. Sharp Dior suiting got a California loosening — frayed tweed blazers, more louche Bar jackets, a houndstooth chiffon duster that was immediately covetable. Menswear leaned into film noir, with grey wool flannels and flannel coats featuring shadow patterns echoing venetian blinds.

A collaboration with L.A. artist Edward Ruscha added typography-covered casual shirting that grounded everything in place — this was unmistakably a Los Angeles collection, not a Paris fantasy of Los Angeles. Anderson also wove in knit capes with a glam-rock sensibility and fun accessories: single dangling crystal mesh earrings, whimsical bird- and bug-shaped minaudières.

The show was presented at magic hour, sun setting behind the palm trees, moody shadows stretching across the museum plaza. After Anderson took his bow, guests filed upstairs into the Geffen Galleries — taking in views over traffic-buzzing Wilshire Boulevard and a brand-new Dior billboard featuring Irish actress Alison Oliver, whose star is rising fast after her breakout as Isabella Linton in Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights. Oliver had also starred in the teaser video Anderson released ahead of the show, driving through a scene deliberately reminiscent of Hitchcock’s Vertigo.

The Designer Who’s Playing a Different Game

Anderson’s connection to Hollywood isn’t just strategic — it’s personal. He designed costumes for Luca Guadagnino’s Challengers and Queer, and his instinct for cinema-inflected storytelling runs through everything he does. Wednesday night was his most fully realized argument yet that the house he now runs — the first designer to oversee all of Dior’s divisions since Monsieur Dior himself — is genuinely ready for something new.

The multigenerational energy in the crowd underscored it: Leslie Mann and Maude Apatow, Kimora Lee Simmons and Aoki Lee Simmons, stylist Elizabeth Saltzman and her son Charlie Walker, who modeled in the show. Old Hollywood and new Hollywood, sitting side by side under Dior blankets, watching the fog roll in.

The after-party moved to the Chateau Marmont, where Miranda Kerr and a wave of young Hollywood fashionistas filled the lobby until bodies were spilling out into the night. It got so packed that Jeff Goldblum and Tracee Ellis Ross quietly made their exits. The party, like the collection, had a life of its own.

Fans flooded social media calling the look one of the standout Indian celebrity fashion moments of the festival

Alia debuted at Cannes last year in a custom Schiaparelli gown that also earned widespread acclaim

Alia Bhatt walked the Cannes red carpet on Tuesday and the internet hasn’t stopped talking about it since. Dressed in a dreamy peach-coral couture creation by celebrated designer Tamara Ralph, the Bollywood star delivered one of the most buzzed-about fashion moments of the 2026 Cannes Film Festival — and it was only day two.

The gown itself was a masterclass in restraint and drama at the same time. A sculpted corseted silhouette with a plunging neckline gave the look its structure, while a sweeping train and soft chiffon scarf flowing behind her added the kind of effortless movement that photographs beautifully on the French Riviera. Fashion fans online were quick to describe it as “ethereal” — a fairytale moment with an old-Hollywood backbone. Several compared her to a Disney princess, which, honestly, isn’t wrong.

https://www.instagram.com/aliaabhatt/

But the jewellery is where things got truly extraordinary. Alia wore the Golconda Rose by Amrapali — a handcrafted white gold piece featuring 168.27 carats of rare pink coral, a 5.53-carat Golconda Type 2A diamond, and nearly 20 carats of finely set diamonds. It’s the kind of piece that makes you stop scrolling. She paired it with earrings and rings from Chopard, letting the two houses complement each other without competing. The overall effect was regal without being heavy — Indian craftsmanship presented on one of the world’s biggest global stages.

A Growing Presence on the World’s Biggest Red Carpet

This is Alia’s second time at Cannes. Last year she made her debut in a custom Schiaparelli gown that earned its own wave of praise, so the bar was already set high. This year, attending as a global ambassador for L’Oréal Paris alongside a constellation of international stars, she’s not just showing up — she’s showing out.

She was spotted near the iconic Hôtel Martinez, where much of the festival’s celebrity action is centred, and shared glimpses from her opening day on Instagram — including warm moments greeting fans and photographers. That ease in front of a crowd, that particular kind of composure, is what separates a good red carpet appearance from a great one.

Her appearance also landed amid a broader conversation about Indian representation at Cannes this year. Fans noted that longtime festival presence Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was absent from some of L’Oréal’s promotional material, which sparked its own round of social media speculation. Whatever the context, Alia stepped into the spotlight with the full weight of that attention and wore it as comfortably as the Tamara Ralph gown.

What Comes Next for Alia

Off the red carpet, Alia has a packed slate ahead. She’s preparing for two major upcoming projects — Alpha and Love & War — both of which are expected to keep her firmly among the most talked-about stars in Indian cinema. With her international profile growing through fashion campaigns, luxury brand partnerships, and now a second Cannes appearance that went genuinely viral, the trajectory is clear.

The 2026 Cannes Film Festival runs through May 23. Alia’s already made her mark — and the festival still has nearly two weeks to go.

Cannes Film Festival banned nudity and overly voluminous gowns in 2025, but stars have kept pushing the dress code anyway

Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Julia Fox and Cameron Diaz are among the celebrities behind the most daring looks in festival history

Kelly Rutherford caused a stir at the 2026 festival with a look that quietly defied the nudity ban

The 2026 jury includes Demi Moore, who arrived in a custom Jacquemus gown — rule-compliant, but stunning

From 1988 to today, the Croisette has always been where fashion rules go to be broken

The Cannes Film Festival may have officially banned nudity in 2025, but the red carpet on the Croisette has never really cared about the rules. Decades before that decree, stars were showing up in gowns that left almost nothing to the imagination — and the looks have lived in our heads ever since.

The festival’s updated charter also prohibited voluminous gowns and trains that might “hinder the proper flow of traffic of guests and complicate seating in the theater.” That didn’t stop Heidi Klum from arriving at last year’s opening ceremony in a sweeping Elie Saab couture gown with a train that could fill a ballroom. Others followed her lead. And at the 2026 festival — which kicked off May 12 in the French Riviera and runs through May 23 — Kelly Rutherford arrived in a dress that was, as one outlet put it, “ever-so-subtly a naked dress,” and it caused quite a stir anyway.

The 79th Cannes Film Festival is stacked with star power this year. The jury is led by The Substance star Demi Moore alongside Ruth Negga, Stellan Skarsgård and director Chloé Zhao. Moore herself hit the carpet in a custom Jacquemus gown — a corset top, peplum waist, and fitted skirt, her signature brunette curls completing the look. Scarlett Johansson, Adam Driver and Miles Teller are all set to premiere the crime drama Paper Tigers on May 16, while Sebastian Stan and Renate Reinsve’s Fjord debuts May 19. Peter Jackson received an honorary Palme d’Or at the opening ceremony, presented by none other than Elijah Wood.

But even with all that going on, it’s the fashion — specifically the kind that makes you do a double take — that has always defined Cannes as much as the cinema. In honor of that legacy, here’s a look back at 15 of the most rule-breaking naked dresses ever to hit the famous staircase in front of the Palais des Festivals.

The Looks That Rewrote the Red Carpet

Bella Hadid has made the sheer gown practically her Cannes signature. Her most talked-about look came in 2024, when she stepped out in a nude halter dress straight off the Saint Laurent runway — entirely see-through, crafted from sheer, stretchy pantyhose material. It was the kind of dress that stops a crowd mid-sentence.

Kendall Jenner brought her own version of barely-there to the 2018 premiere of Girls of the Sun, choosing a white Schiaparelli Couture gown in completely sheer silk tulle, cinched at the waist with a bold statement belt. Clean, deliberate, unforgettable.

Julia Fox, never one to play it safe, arrived at the 2023 festival in a see-through top made of glass — yes, glass — paired with a voluminous skirt featuring a bubble layer on top and a long train underneath. Only Fox could make a glass shirt feel inevitable.

Leila Depina took the naked dress concept somewhere almost architectural at the 2023 premiere of Asteroid City. Her draped silver look appeared to be constructed entirely of tiny glittering chains, which left, unsurprisingly, very little to the imagination.

Hari Nef went for something more understated in 2023, courtesy of Fendi Couture: a sheer shawl on top, an ivory maxi skirt below. Simple, elegant, and still completely sheer.

Milla Jovovich‘s 1997 look for the premiere of The Fifth Element deserves a place in the fashion history books. Designed by John Galliano, the strategically beaded dress was so iconic that Miley Cyrus wore an updated version of it to the 2024 Grammys — proof that the best red carpet moments never really expire.

Then there’s La Cicciolina. In 1988, Ilona Staller — the singer and Italian politician — arrived at Cannes and bared her breasts, belly, and thighs, accessorizing the look with a pink stuffed animal. It remains, arguably, the most naked dress in the festival’s entire history. No contest.

Heidi Klum showed up in 2023 in a bright yellow gown with a thigh-high slit, midriff cutouts, and two enormous bat-wing sleeves that would absolutely fall under today’s “overly voluminous” ban. She’s since doubled down on the drama.

Cameron Diaz made headlines at the 2002 premiere of Gangs of New York in a shimmering black gown that was completely sheer — her black underwear fully visible — with a thigh-high slit and an asymmetrical one-shoulder neckline. It was 2002, and it still holds up.

Nadia Lee Cohen went full sheer in 2024 with a black long-sleeve Saint Laurent dress, a pair of underwear, and dark sunglasses. Minimal accessories, maximum impact.

Winnie Harlow wore a Ralph & Russo gown at the 2019 festival that was completely sheer except for green metallic beading at the front and back. The America’s Next Top Model alum looked like she’d stepped out of a dream sequence.

Didi Stone turned heads at the 2022 opening ceremony in a Roberto Cavalli look that paired a lilac silk skirt with a gold grid of roses placed strategically over her torso — gladiator-inspired and genuinely stunning.

Cindy Kimberly made it personal in 2023, wearing a shimmering halter-neck gown from her own brand, Loba. The sheer metallic look featured a completely open back and a short train. “Cannes wearing my own designs is such a dream come true,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories at the time.

At the 2025 festival, Stella Maxwell found a way to work the sheer look within the new rules — a sheer lace gown with strategically placed ruffles offering just enough coverage to technically pass. And Pritika Swarup, the model and beauty brand founder, closed out the 2025 closing ceremonies in a sheer, jewel-encrusted gown with long black opera gloves that gave the whole look an extra shot of drama.

The ban is real. The enforcement, apparently, is another matter entirely. As long as there’s a red carpet on the Croisette, someone is going to show up in something that makes everyone stop scrolling — and honestly, that’s exactly what makes Cannes, Cannes.

Demi Moore is serving on the jury at the 79th Cannes Film Festival, which runs May 12–23 in France.

She made her red carpet entrance in a strapless sequin Jacquemus gown, completing the look with Chopard diamonds.

A polka dot Jacquemus dress at the jury photocall drew equal attention — and a lot of fan love.

Star-studded films including Scarlett Johansson’s Paper Tigers and Sebastian Stan’s Fjord are competing for the Palme d’Or.

Demi Moore arrived at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival like she had something to prove — and honestly, two looks in and she’s already winning the week.

The 63-year-old actress touched down in Nice on Monday, May 11, ahead of the festival’s opening ceremony, and by Tuesday she had already delivered not one but two jaw-dropping outfits. Both from Jacquemus. Both completely different. Both completely her.

For opening night, Moore stepped onto the iconic staircase in front of the Palais des Festivals in a strapless, sequin Jacquemus gown that showed off her toned arms and commanded the room. She finished the look with a stunning Chopard diamond necklace and delicate floral-shaped earrings — the kind of red carpet moment that gets screenshotted and saved.

Her stylist Brad Goreski gave fans a behind-the-scenes peek at the ensemble in a joint Instagram video, and the comments section lit up fast. Actress Rita Wilson was among the first to weigh in. “Maybe one of my most favorites dresses on you,” she wrote. Fans piled on: “So stunning and it fits like a glove,” one gushed. “Insane! I am so set for your Cannes moments!” shared another.

Not everyone kept it purely celebratory. Some commenters expressed concern, calling Moore’s frame “extremely thin” and urging her to prioritize her health. “I’ve been a big fan of yours for years, Demi, and I say with the utmost compassion that I hope you take care of your health,” one user wrote. “A lot of people care about you.” It’s a conversation that’s followed Moore since her appearance at the SAG Awards back in March, and one she’s navigated with grace — at least publicly.

The Polka Dot Moment Everyone’s Talking About

If the sequin gown was the dramatic opening act, Tuesday morning’s jury photocall was the playful encore.

Moore showed up to the Palais des Festivals in a strapless polka dot dress — also Jacquemus, from the brand’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection first shown at the Musée National Picasso in January. The dress features a cream base scattered with multicolored dots in red, blue, yellow, and black, a structured bodice, and a voluminous tulip-shaped skirt that hits just above the knee. She paired it with a matching polka dot bag, crisp white cat-eye sunglasses, and white pumps, all from the same French fashion house.

The effect was pure confetti — festive, retro, and a little bit cheeky. For a festival that celebrates cinema with that level of reverence, it was exactly the kind of energy the moment called for.

At a press conference ahead of the festival, Moore got candid about what it means to be here in this role. “My first thought is ‘Me?'” she said with a laugh. “I had such a beautiful experience here a few years ago, and one, just to be surrounded by cinema and the love of cinema, and the joy of diving in and being surrounded by those who share that, just felt like a joy… I feel tremendously honored and super excited. I feel like a little kid playing a grown up.”

It’s a full-circle moment. Moore first came to Cannes in 2024 with Coralie Fargeat’s The Substance, the body-horror film that went on to win Best Screenplay at the festival and ultimately earned Moore a Golden Globe for Best Actress. Now she’s back — not as a competitor, but as one of the people deciding who wins.

She’s joined on the jury by writer-director Park Chan-wook, who serves as jury president, along with actors Stellan Skarsgård, Ruth Negga, and Isaach de Bankolé, plus filmmaker Chloé Zhao, director Laura Wandel, writer Paul Laverty, and director Diego Céspedes. Together, they’ll screen every film in competition before the festival wraps on May 23.

Who Else Is in Cannes This Year

Moore isn’t the only one making an entrance. Heidi Klum, a Cannes red carpet fixture known for bringing some of fashion’s most theatrical moments to the Croisette, was also spotted arriving in Nice on Monday and will almost certainly be turning heads on the staircase before the week is out.

Elijah Wood flew in with his wife, Mette-Marie Kongsved, ahead of the opening ceremony, where he’ll present an honorary Palme d’Or to Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson. Sebastian Stan has a film in competition — Fjord, in which he and Renate Reinsve play a couple relocating their family to Norway, set to premiere May 19. And Miles Teller is part of the ensemble behind Paper Tigers, a crime drama starring Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver that premieres May 16 and is already generating serious buzz for the Palme d’Or.

Nathan Mitchell, fresh off the end of The Boys, is also in attendance, and French actor Lucas Bravo — always a Cannes presence — is expected to pop up at premieres throughout the week.

The 79th Cannes Film Festival runs through May 23. If Moore’s first two days are any indication, the fashion alone is going to be worth watching.

Apple Martin, 21, is the face of Chloé’s “à la Plage” pre-fall 2026 campaign, shot by photographer David Sims

Creative director Chemena Kamali praised Martin’s “radiance and timeless beauty” in an official press release

The campaign follows Martin’s previous work with Self-Portrait and GapStudio, the latter alongside her mother Gwyneth Paltrow

Claudia Schiffer fronted the inaugural Chloé à la Plage campaign last year; Martin carries the torch for the second chapter

Martin is reportedly studying English, law, history, and society at Vanderbilt University while building her modeling career

Apple Martin is having a moment — and Chloé is making sure everyone knows it. The 21-year-old daughter of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin has landed the brand’s dreamy “Chloé à la Plage” pre-fall 2026 campaign, shot by photographer David Sims against a sun-soaked, surrealist backdrop of sky-blue seascapes and magnified shells. The collection drops in Chloé boutiques and online starting May 12th, 2026.

Creative director Chemena Kamali — the German designer who took over from Gabriela Hearst in 2023 and has since given the storied French house a full creative renaissance — made the vision clear in a press release. “This year, Chloé à la Plage is an ode to a surreal summer fantasy,” Kamali said. “It’s about that dreamlike state and the poetry of summer. Apple, with her radiance and timeless beauty, draws us into this feeling in the most natural way.”

The images, captured by Sims, lean hard into that fantasy. In one striking shot, Martin poses before an oversized seashell in a clear nod to Sandro Botticelli’s Birth of Venus. In others, she sniffs flowers, takes a bite of citrus, and pouts on the floor with a Chloé bag tucked under her arm — all while wearing the house’s signature flowy silhouettes, broderie anglaise blouses, airy dresses, and a standout swimsuit printed with a cockatoo perched on pink hibiscus flowers. Raffia handbags and jelly mules complete the look.

A Chloé Girl in Good Company

With this campaign, Martin joins a very select group. Kamali’s Chloé has previously tapped Kendall Jenner, Kaia Gerber, Bella Hadid, and Rianne van Rompaey as campaign faces — and it was Claudia Schiffer who fronted the very first Chloé à la Plage campaign just last year. Martin stepping into that lineage at 21 says something about the direction Kamali is taking the house.

Fashion forum reactions, predictably, were all over the place. “Gorgeous campaign, and I’m not even a fan of Apple Martin,” wrote one theFashionSpot forum member. “This, by far, is the absolute best I’ve seen her look! I love the old-school Chloé vibes, the bronzed skin, the beauty styling, the mood, the photography. It’s all just working so beautifully for a summer campaign.” Others were less convinced — “I like the direction, but the casting is horrible,” wrote another — which, honestly, is pretty standard territory for any rising name in fashion.

More Than Just a Famous Last Name

Martin has been quietly building a real résumé. She made her society debut at the prestigious Le Bal des Débutantes in Paris in 2024, and has since booked campaigns for Self-Portrait and GapStudio — the Gap campaign notably shot alongside her mother, Gwyneth Paltrow. Chloé is her biggest solo outing yet, and by any measure, she’s earned it.

What makes it all the more impressive: she’s doing it while reportedly studying English, law, history, and society at Vanderbilt University. Modeling for Chloé and keeping up with a double major at a top-tier university before you can legally order a glass of wine in most of the world? That’s a schedule.

The Chloé à la Plage 2026 collection will also be available at selected summer resort destinations throughout the season — exactly the kind of sun-drenched setting these images were made for.
