Chris Brown’s Home Hit by Same Trespasser Twice in 24 Hours
The same man was arrested twice in less than 24 hours at Chris Brown’s Tarzana home — first for trying to start a fire, then for lurking outside again.

- A man was arrested Wednesday night at Chris Brown’s Tarzana home after hopping a fence and allegedly trying to start a fire on the property.
- The same suspect returned Thursday morning and was arrested again after being spotted pacing near the gated property.
- Someone at the residence told police they recognized the man and said he had been an ongoing problem.
- The incidents are the latest in a string of security scares at Brown’s California homes in recent weeks.
- A security guard at the property was also arrested earlier this month for firing a CO2-style gun at a woman near the front gate.
Chris Brown’s Tarzana home has become the site of a troubling pattern — and the latest chapter played out twice in less than 24 hours. The same unidentified man was arrested at the R&B star’s Los Angeles property on both Wednesday night and again Thursday morning, after apparently deciding one arrest wasn’t enough of a deterrent.
According to law enforcement sources, police were first called to Brown’s gated residence just before 7 p.m. PT on Wednesday, May 13. The suspect was initially spotted at the front gate attempting to gain entry, then hopped the fence and made it onto the grounds. Once inside, he allegedly tried to start a fire. Someone at the residence made contact with the man and held him until officers arrived. He was arrested for trespassing, and the LAPD confirmed the case is being sent to prosecutors for possible charges.
The person who called police told officers they recognized the suspect — and said he had been an ongoing problem at the property. NBC 4 Los Angeles was first to report the initial arrest.
He Came Back
What made the situation even more alarming: the man showed up again the very next morning. TMZ reported that police were called back to the property Thursday after the same suspect was seen pacing up and down the private roadway near the home. He was taken into custody a second time.
Whether he was released after the first arrest or managed to post bail overnight, one thing is clear — Brown’s security team is now dealing with someone who isn’t taking the hint.
NBC 4’s reporting noted that Brown was not home at the time of Wednesday’s incident, according to authorities — though TMZ’s sources indicated he was present. Regardless, his security team has been working overtime to manage what’s become a steady stream of unwanted visitors.
A Month of Security Incidents
The back-to-back trespassing arrests don’t exist in a vacuum. Earlier this month, a security guard stationed at Brown’s Tarzana property was arrested after firing a CO2-style handgun during a confrontation with a woman at the front gate. The LAPD identified the guard as 35-year-old Markeith Cungious, who now faces an assault with a deadly weapon charge with bail set at $50,000. Sources had claimed the woman ran over his foot with her car before the altercation escalated. Cungious has since been fired. Brown himself fervently denied any involvement in that incident.
The history of security scares around the Grammy-winning singer goes back further than this month. In 2015, a female fan broke into his Agoura Hills home while he was away and vandalized the property, leading to charges of burglary, vandalism, and stalking. In 2016, a woman named Danielle Patti was arrested outside his home for trespassing — for the second time — after managing to slip past his gate undetected. The echoes of that case and this week’s repeat offender are hard to ignore.
All of this is unfolding as Brown navigates the release of his new album Brown, which is projected to debut at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 despite drawing mixed critical reception. Right now, though, the bigger story surrounding the singer isn’t the music — it’s what keeps happening at his front gate.
