Brandi Glanville Shades LeAnn Rimes Over RHOBH Rumors

Brandi Glanville had a lot to say about rumors that LeAnn Rimes could join RHOBH — and she didn’t hold back on X.

Brandi Glanville has never been shy about her feelings toward LeAnn Rimes — and a fresh round of casting rumors just handed her the perfect opening.

When gossip account DeuxMoi reported that Rimes’ name had started “circulating in casting conversations” for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Glanville — who starred on the Bravo series from Seasons 2 through 5 — took to X with a response that was equal parts shade and dark humor.

“I hope it’s true about RHOBH,” she wrote on Wednesday. “I mean she got everything else of mine — husband, kids, boobs, bronco, random illnesses. She might as well just be a housewife and finish it off once and for all 💕”

The post landed exactly the way Glanville intended — like a perfectly aimed dart. And for anyone who knows the history between these two women, every word on that list hit differently.

What the Rumor Actually Says — and Doesn’t

The buzz kicked up as RHOBH Season 15 wraps its three-part reunion, with the finale airing May 7. No casting for Season 16 has been confirmed, and Bravo, as usual, isn’t commenting. But a source who spoke exclusively to Page Six was pretty clear: “LeAnn’s name has not been mentioned for ‘RHOBH.’ It doesn’t seem like this will change.”

Still, the rumor was enough to get the Housewives universe talking. During the May 6 episode of iHeartRadio’s Two T’s in a Pod podcast, former RHOBH cast member Teddi Mellencamp — who appeared in Seasons 8 through 10 — said she wasn’t buying it at all.

“I do not believe this for a second,” Mellencamp said. “That’s not going to happen. And two, I just don’t see her.” She compared Rimes to Bachelor Nation and Real Housewives of Rhode Island star Ashley Iaconetti Haibon, describing her as “very emotional,” and added: “She’s got a lot of things going on. I just don’t see LeAnn Rimes on the next season.”

Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Dolores Catania had a slightly different take: “I’d like to see something on the next season. But hey, that’s just me.”

The Backstory That Makes This All Hit Harder

For anyone who needs a refresher: it was 2008 when Rimes and Eddie Cibrian met while filming the Lifetime movie Northern Lights. By 2009, rumors of an affair were everywhere. Cibrian initially denied them — but that July, both he and Rimes separated from their respective spouses. Rimes had been married to actor Dean Sheremet; Cibrian had been married to Glanville for eight years. They made their public debut as a couple in August 2009, got engaged in December 2010, and married on April 22, 2011.

Rimes just celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary with a tribute post that was, in its own way, a flex. “15 years of loving you. 15 years of making memories. your love is such a gift,” she wrote, adding with characteristic humor: “in perimenopause and in health, with teeth and without… 😂”

Glanville has never pretended any of it didn’t sting. She once admitted she threatened to “murder” Rimes when she first found out about the affair. But over time, the two women did reach something like peace — for the sake of the boys Cibrian shares with Glanville.

“We were having a birthday party just recently, and we got into a really serious conversation,” Glanville said in 2018 on the Make Speidi Famous Again podcast. “We just kind of had it out about what is right, what is wrong, what’s better for the kids, and what bothered me and what bothered her.” The conversation lasted hours and wasn’t easy, she said — but it worked. “[The kids] love her and she loves them. It’s like… everyone’s happy.”

By 2022, Rimes was singing a similar tune. “I love her. We get along very well. She’s fun. We have a great time at all the holidays,” she told Us Weekly at the CMT Music Awards. “We are connected through the boys and we have great respect for one another.”

The Jaw Video That Reopened Old Wounds

That détente, though, has been showing some cracks lately. Last month, Rimes posted a video of herself undergoing deep jaw release therapy that went viral — with some viewers claiming it looked staged. Glanville addressed it on her Unfiltered podcast, saying she’d had the same procedure “a million times” for her TMJ and found it genuinely painful.

“I just don’t know why you share that,” Glanville said, calling the video “so weird.”

Rimes fired back at the fakery claims on April 18 with some self-deprecating honesty: “I’m like, ‘I can act, but I am not that good.’ I am not that good. I’m not Meryl Streep.”

So here we are — a viral video, a casting rumor, and one very pointed tweet. Whether LeAnn Rimes ever actually sets foot on a RHOBH set is almost beside the point. Brandi Glanville already got the last word.
