Jamie Foxx is going to be a dad again. The Oscar-winning actor and his girlfriend, Alyce Huckstepp, are expecting their first child together, TMZ first reported and People confirmed. Multiple sources with direct knowledge of the situation say Huckstepp is already several months along, though the sex of the baby and an expected due date haven’t been shared.

Representatives for Foxx have not issued an official statement.

For Foxx, 58, this will be his third child. He became a father for the first time in 1994 with ex Connie Kline — their daughter, Corinne Foxx, 32, has carved out her own career in entertainment. He welcomed his second daughter, Anelise, now 17, with former girlfriend Kristin Grannis in 2008. For Huckstepp, 31, this will be her first.

How Jamie and Alyce Got Here

The couple’s road to this moment has been anything but straightforward. Foxx and Huckstepp were first spotted together in May 2022, when photographers caught them on a yacht in Cannes. That August, she joined him for the world premiere of his Netflix film Day Shift — though they kept things low-key and didn’t pose together on the carpet. They celebrated Labor Day that year in Mexico, and by the summer of 2023 were photographed together at the Nobu Hotel in Los Cabos.

Then came the split. Page Six confirmed in January 2025 that the two had called it quits after roughly three years. A source told People at the time that Foxx was simply “super busy” — “he has so much going on he barely has time to stop and think about how blessed he is.” But the break didn’t last. The pair reconciled later in 2025 and were spotted out together multiple times, including at Nobu Malibu last April and at Kiki on the River in Miami on Halloween.

Through all of it — the relationship, the split, the reconciliation — Huckstepp has been a steady presence. A source told People in April 2024 that she “has been there” for Foxx in the aftermath of his 2023 health crisis, calling her “a sweetie, a great girl” and a “loyal” force in his life.

Coming Back From the Brink

The pregnancy news lands about three years after one of the scariest chapters of Foxx’s life. In April 2023, while filming the Netflix movie Back in Action, he suffered a brain bleed that led to a stroke. He was hospitalized for weeks, and for a long stretch, the public knew very little about what had actually happened.

Foxx eventually addressed the speculation himself in a July 2023 Instagram video. “You know, by being quiet, sometimes things get out of hand,” he said. “People saying what I got — some people said I was blind, but as you can see the eyes are working just fine. They said I was paralyzed, I’m not paralyzed, but I went to hell and back, and my road to recovery had some potholes as well.”

He opened up even more in his December 2024 Netflix special, Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was, walking audiences through exactly how it started. “April 11, I was having a bad headache, and I asked my boy for an aspirin,” he recalled. “I realized quickly that when you’re in a medical emergency, your boys don’t know what the f*** to do. Before I could get the aspirin — ” he snapped his fingers — “I went out. I don’t remember 20 days.”

His daughters were central to his survival and recovery. At the 2025 Golden Globes, Foxx got emotional talking about Corinne and Anelise, who attended the ceremony with him. “When you dream about what you want to be, you only dream about the good things — the career, the house, you never dream tragedy,” he told Extra. “When tragedy happens in a real way, you need solid family and friends.” Of Corinne specifically, he said: “You have to show up and really take over everything, and she did that and that’s why I’m here.”

As for where his head is now? “You take a picture on your cell phone and you hit that filter, and it brightens up — that’s the way my life looks now,” Foxx said. “I have no bad days.”

A third child, a fresh start, and a life that looks a whole lot brighter. Jamie Foxx is not done yet.
