Chase Infiniti and Tyriq Withers Are Dating

A source close to Chase Infiniti confirms she and Tyriq Withers are dating and she’s “in a really good place.”
The two breakout stars have been spotted together repeatedly since October 2025, from awards season to Coachella to the F1 Grand Prix.
Kerry Washington has been credited — by Infiniti herself — with pulling the pair together.

The internet manifested this one, and it actually worked. Chase Infiniti and Tyriq Withers are officially dating, a source close to the One Battle After Another actress confirmed to People on Friday — capping off months of speculation, fan theories, and some very pointed social media shipping.

“Chase is having fun and dating,” the insider said. “She’s in a really good place and enjoying herself like any young woman.”

The confirmation also comes after DeuxMoi posted photos of the pair on what appeared to be a low-key dinner date at Mamo restaurant in New York City. At this point, the only people who seemed surprised were the ones not paying attention.

From Strangers to Hollywood’s New Favorite Couple

Chase, 26, and Tyriq, 27, were both relative unknowns before 2025 changed everything for them. Infiniti broke through in One Battle After Another — the Paul Thomas Anderson epic that went on to win six Oscars including Best Picture — playing Leonardo DiCaprio’s daughter in a role that earned her serious awards buzz. Withers, meanwhile, had a banner year with roles in the I Know What You Did Last Summer reboot, the horror film Him, and the adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s beloved novel Reminders of Him.

As their careers exploded in parallel, so did their orbit around each other.

Their first documented moment together came at the Academy Museum Gala in October 2025, when Withers posted a selfie with Infiniti to his Instagram grid. From there, they kept showing up at the same places — W Magazine’s Best Performances Party at Chateau Marmont in January, the NAACP Image Awards in February, Coachella in April (fans clocked that they were both pulled onstage during PinkPantheress’ set, even if neither posted about the other).

The NAACP moment became its own thing entirely. A fan-cast had gone viral imagining the two as the children of Scandal characters Olivia and Fitz, so when they ran into Kerry Washington at the ceremony, they made sure to get a photo — and then reportedly Photoshopped Tony Goldwyn in to complete the bit. The internet absolutely lost it.

“The Internet Is the Internet”

By the time awards season hit its peak, rumors via DeuxMoi were calling their relationship “an open secret” among people in their circle. But when Infiniti was asked point-blank about it on the Oscars red carpet in March, she kept things light.

“The internet is the internet. I don’t know,” she told Entertainment Tonight with a laugh, while acknowledging that Withers is “very nice” and that the two had been “pulled together” by Washington. “We’ve just been seeing each other so frequently,” she added.

Withers, for his part, was playing it cool too. In a March interview with Cosmopolitan, he described himself as “very much intimately single” — but didn’t exactly sound like someone who wanted to stay that way. “I yearn — and that is my superpower but also my biggest flaw. I am a loverboy,” he told the magazine. He also went on The Jennifer Hudson Show that same month and reiterated the single status.

Then May arrived and any remaining ambiguity evaporated. The two showed up together at the F1 Grand Prix in Miami on May 3, visiting Audi’s Formula 1 team garage ahead of the race — both have partnerships with the brand. A few days later, they were photographed cuddled up at GQ’s official Met Gala after-party on May 4, which Infiniti cohosted alongside F1 actor Damson Idris, LISA from Blackpink, and American Love Story‘s Paul Anthony Kelly.

And before all of that, Withers had quietly shown up to the premiere of Infiniti’s Hulu series The Testaments back in March. That’s a boyfriend move if there ever was one.

Kerry Washington, who has been the unofficial architect of this whole romance, posted a selfie with the duo at the NAACP Image Awards back in February — and Infiniti has been more than happy to give her credit. “I could credit it all to Kerry Washington,” she told ET. “She’s been pulling us together.”

As for what DiCaprio — who worked closely with Infiniti on the film that launched her career — might think of all this, Infiniti has spoken warmly about his influence on her. “I think one of the best pieces of advice I got was honestly just watching him on set and watching his gentle leadership and just complete kindness,” she told Page Six earlier this year. “I think that’s something I will cherish and take forward with me for the rest of my life.”

The fans who’ve been rooting for these two since that first Academy Museum Gala selfie? They called it months ago. Turns out the loverboy found his match.
