Latto has given birth to her first child — and she’s finally confirmed what fans have suspected for months: 21 Savage is the father.

The Atlanta rapper, born Alyssa Michelle Stephens, broke the news on Instagram Monday with a sweeping three-minute video that traces her entire pregnancy journey — from the moment she found out she was expecting, to revealing the news to her parents, to a star-studded baby shower, all the way to the delivery room. It’s intimate, it’s emotional, and it leaves no doubt about who’s been by her side through all of it.

Throughout the footage, 21 Savage — born Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph — appears in unmistakable ways. In one clip filmed during an ultrasound appointment, a tattooed arm moves the probe across Latto’s stomach. The ink matches Savage’s exactly. At the baby shower, the 33-year-old rapper is seen in a white tee chatting with guests, and in another shot, a man with the same distinctive tattoos and a matching white-on-white fit stands beside Latto as she cradles her bump. His face may be out of frame, but it’s him.

A Baby Shower Worth Talking About

The shower itself was no low-key affair. Usher, Sexyy Red, and WNBA star Angel Reese were all in attendance, and the decor featured dagger imagery — a direct nod to the dagger tattoo on 21 Savage’s forehead, and the matching one Latto has on her lower back. She also has his name tattooed behind her ear. These two have been dropping hints for years.

Reese, for her part, is already staking a claim on the baby’s future. In Latto’s Instagram comments, the Chicago Sky forward wrote, “auntie league baby is hereeeee” — seemingly convinced the newborn is a boy with a basketball career ahead of him.

“I’m So Ready to Meet My Baby”

The video’s most tender stretch comes near the end, when Latto films herself at 37 weeks, tears streaming, processing the fact that she’s about to become a mother.

“Basically full-term,” she says. “It’s any day now. I’m so ready to meet my baby. I’m never gonna leave when my baby get here. I’m gonna need a million dollars a show cause I don’t wanna leave the house.”

She also speaks directly to her child in a voiceover, connecting her pregnancy to the album that grew alongside it. “I was already thinking about naming my album, ‘Big Mama,’ then I found out about you, and everything fell into place,” she says. “It’s so crazy because I thought this was going to hinder me. I was worried about making this album sober and being tired and exhausted as my body went through all these changes…”

Then the video cuts to the sound of a delivery room — monitors beeping, voices urging her to push — confirming that even the birth itself became part of the Big Mama story. The final slate reads simply: 5/29.

The Relationship Latto and 21 Savage Finally Made Official

Latto and 21 Savage have been romantically linked since 2020, though both kept things deliberately private for years. That changed in September 2025, when Latto confirmed to TMZ that Savage is her man — and even referred to him as her “husband” in the conversation.

When she announced her pregnancy in March as part of the Big Mama album rollout and debuted her bump in the “Business & Personal” music video, she stopped short of naming the father publicly. But the hints were everywhere: his tattooed hand on her belly, a scrapbook that appeared to feature his baby photos, a dagger tattoo on her lower back matching the one on his forehead. And when Latto appeared on the cover of Paper magazine that same month, cradling her stomach, Savage reposted the image to his Instagram Story with the caption: “Big Mama Not the Little 1.”

Fans had been piecing it together ever since. After Latto skipped a Mother’s Day event and posted an apology video, eagle-eyed followers claimed they could hear baby sounds in the background — speculation that this Monday’s post all but confirmed.

This is Latto’s first child. For Savage, it’s his fourth — he has sons Kamari and Ashaad and a daughter named Rhian from previous relationships.

And in a move that makes this whole moment feel even bigger: Latto has called Big Mama her retirement album. On May 8, she posted simply, “5/29 My retirement album. Thank you for everything.” So the same project that carries the story of her pregnancy is also, apparently, her final chapter as a recording artist — ending not with a fade-out, but with the sound of a new life beginning.
