Alix Earle was having a great night out — right up until she wasn’t.

The 25-year-old influencer posted an un-get-ready-with-me TikTok on Monday, eyes visibly puffy, walking her followers through how a fun evening at Miami’s Palm Tree Club turned into a quiet car ride home in tears. The reason: she ran into her ex-boyfriend, Houston Texans wide receiver Braxton Berrios.

“Obviously I saw my ex tonight,” Earle said while removing her makeup. “But we’re on good terms so it was like normal and fine and we were joking around with each other.”

At one point, a mutual friend was snapping photos and Earle playfully pushed Berrios out of frame to get her solo shot. Everyone laughed. It felt easy.

“It was funny and fun and then it wasn’t,” she admitted. “Because then it kept turning into me looking around the place the whole night, being like, ‘Hmm where is he?’”

She paused. “I think that really sucked, just catching myself doing that.”

‘Sometimes You’re Just a Girl’

Earle said the shift from playful to painful hit her mid-night. What started as a lighthearted reunion became a reminder of what wasn’t there anymore.

“It’s hard when you see someone for a second and it’s fun and normal,” she reflected. “But that’s just a dose of it. That’s done. That started to hit me.”

Then the tears came — in the club, where her friends noticed. She didn’t try to hide it or explain it away.

“Sometimes you just can’t help it. Sometimes you’re just a girl and sometimes water just falls out of your eyes. Sometimes that happens and that’s OK.”

The Dancing with the Stars alum said she “did the responsible thing” — called a car and went home to cry to her dog. By the time she was recording the TikTok, she insisted she was fine. She just wanted to be honest about it in case anyone following along was feeling something similar.

The Breakup

Earle and Berrios, 30, split in December 2025 after about two and a half years of dating. They’d been doing long distance — she was in Miami, he was wherever the NFL schedule put him — and the strain eventually broke them.

At the time, Earle confirmed the breakup in an emotional TikTok: “Braxton and I are no longer together.” She’s since been open about the healing process on her podcast Hot Mess with Alix Earle, but Monday’s video was a reminder that closure isn’t always clean. Sometimes you bump into it at a club in Miami and spend the rest of the night pretending you’re fine.

Her TikTok racked up millions of views by Tuesday morning. Turns out a lot of people know exactly what it’s like to push your ex out of a photo and then cry about it later.
