Ciara Miller Is the New Host of Love Island USA’s Aftersun
Summer House star Ciara Miller is joining Love Island USA as co-host of the Aftersun companion series — and she’ll still be back for the Bravo show too.

- Ciara Miller and Tefi Pessoa have been named co-hosts of Love Island USA’s companion series Aftersun on Peacock
- The announcement came during NBCUniversal’s 2026 Upfront Presentation, replacing departing host Maura Higgins
- Miller rose to national fame after her Summer House co-stars West Wilson and Amanda Batula revealed they were dating
- Sources tell TMZ that Miller’s Fiji filming schedule won’t conflict with Summer House Season 11, which starts July 4th weekend
- The move mirrors Ariana Madix’s post-Scandoval glow-up — betrayal, Dancing with the Stars, and now Love Island hosting duties
Ciara Miller is having her moment — and she’s not slowing down for anyone. Peacock announced Monday that the Summer House breakout star and internet personality Tefi Pessoa will co-host Love Island USA‘s companion series Aftersun, taking over from departing host Maura Higgins when Season 8 premieres on June 2.
The news dropped during NBCUniversal’s 2026 Upfront Presentation, where the network made it official: Miller, the model and former ICU nurse who’s been a Summer House mainstay since Season 5, is stepping into a much bigger spotlight. Pessoa, who previously hosted Prime Video’s talk show Influenced in 2024, rounds out the duo.
Aftersun functions as the after-show heartbeat of Love Island — hosts recap the latest drama, sit down with freshly dumped Islanders, and keep the conversation going as relationships in the villa bloom and blow up. Ariana Madix returns as host of the main show, and the parallels between her and Miller are hard to ignore: both were blindsided by a friend and a significant other, both landed spots on Dancing with the Stars Season 35, and now both are central to the Love Island USA universe. Bravo fans are already calling it the “Ariana Madix Effect.”
The Scandal That Changed Everything
If you need a refresher on how Ciara Miller became one of the most talked-about names in Bravoland: earlier this year, her ex-boyfriend West Wilson and her close friend Amanda Batula confirmed they had started a relationship — a revelation that hit Miller like a freight train, and played out in full view of the internet.
The pair issued a joint statement on Instagram Stories, writing, “We’ve shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what’s developed recently was the last thing either of us expected. Our connection grew out of a genuine, long-standing friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care.”
Miller told Glamour she found out with barely any warning. “I read it with the rest of the world,” she said. “There’s something about the lack of being able to say each other’s names in the statement that I found very telling.”
She’d had real conversations with West about where they stood as exes — conversations that included, apparently, an agreement not to get involved with anyone else in the Bravo world. “I felt like we were actually starting to be friends again,” she explained. “One of those [boundaries] was no more sleeping with people on Bravo. Obviously, now that’s out the window.”
When it came to who the bigger hurt came from, Miller didn’t hesitate. “At the end of the day, a guy’s a guy,” she said. “You just can’t put anything past a man. But I just never would think that it would come from someone like Amanda, who has been what has felt like in my circle and in my corner for so long. I think that’s the craziest part.”
Processing all of it publicly — while the season continued to air — was its own kind of torture. “It’s one thing to experience hurt behind closed doors,” she told Glamour. “To experience it so publicly is like another layer, and then to have to see what you thought was your life still play out in season 10. It’s a major mindf**k.”
Her advice to anyone in a similar situation? “Just know when something’s weird in your gut, there’s a reason. What’s done in the dark always comes to light. And sometimes you really don’t even have to do anything except sit back and let the universe handle it all.”
What’s Next — and Yes, She’s Still Going to the Hamptons
For fans worried that Love Island might pull Miller away from Summer House for good, sources close to the production tell TMZ there’s no conflict. Love Island USA Season 8 runs from June 2 through mid-July, and Summer House doesn’t go into production until July 4th weekend — meaning Miller will be back from Fiji in time to hop on the Jitney to the Hamptons. She’ll also appear in the Summer House Season 10 reunion, where she’s set to confront West and Amanda face-to-face.
Beyond that, Miller has been steadily building out her media presence — hosting red carpet events, appearing as a commentator on E!’s Met Gala coverage, and now joining Higgins on the Dancing with the Stars Season 35 cast. (Yes, she and her predecessor will both be in the ballroom.)
It’s a lot of irons in the fire. But if the last year has shown anything, it’s that Ciara Miller works best when the universe hands her something to prove.
