Elizabeth Hurley, 60, Shares Her No. 1 Bikini Photo Tip

Elizabeth Hurley has a tip for you, and honestly, it’s so simple it’s almost annoying. The actress and swimwear designer — who just turned 60 — posted a series of poolside photos to Instagram this week that stopped her followers cold, then promptly told them exactly how she pulled it off.

“Being photographed in a bikini can be scary so here’s my number one tip: LIE DOWN!!” she wrote in the caption. “Even in hideous overhead light, or with nasty hi-def camera phones (these were taken on a phone in direct sunlight) if you s-t-r-e-t-c-h out enough and wear sunglasses you’ll look fine 🩷 Thank me later 😉”

The photos, shared on her Elizabeth Hurley Beach brand account as well as her personal page, show her stretched out beside a swimming pool in a white bikini with thin black stripes. The top is a strapless bandeau style with molded cups and a subtle gold metallic link at the center that creates delicate pleating — very much a piece from her own label. She paired it with matching low-rise bottoms with navy side-tie closures, oversized square-frame sunglasses with gradient brown lenses, and not much else. Hair down, barely any makeup, one shot with her head tipped back so her brunette locks dip right into the water.

The comments went predictably wild. Her son, Damian Hurley, kept it simple and completely accurate: “These are insane woah.” Fans piled on with “Time traveller!!” and “This woman never ages against all odds” and “She must be studied.” One commenter asked the question on everyone’s mind: “And she is in her sixties?? God bless THE Queen!”

The Secret Isn’t a Gym Membership

This isn’t the first time Hurley has played beauty editor for her followers. Back in July 2025, she was already handing out lighting advice: “BAN overhead sunlight. When shooting bikinis, sunrise or sunset are your best friends,” she wrote, noting that a particular shoot had been done at 7am before she retreated to one of her kaftans by 8.

What makes the whole thing more remarkable — or more relatable, depending on how you look at it — is that Hurley’s physique isn’t the product of a grueling wellness regimen. “I haven’t set foot in a gym for decades and don’t work out per se, but I’m very active by nature and very rarely sit still,” she told HELLO!. At home, she says she spends the day outside doing garden work — bending, stretching, lifting. She even has a tool shed with a lock only she has the key to, stocked with what she calls her “lady tools,” including a mini leaf blower gifted to her by Joan Collins.

On the food side, she’s equally un-precious. “My mantra is: don’t eat too much, too fast, too often or too late,” she’s written on Instagram. She eats pretty much everything, skips green juices and diet shakes, and counts junk food as anything containing an ingredient she wouldn’t have in her own kitchen — which rules out most packaged food, ready meals, and sodas. That’s it. No plan, no program.

Life With Billy Ray Cyrus

When she’s not going viral in a bikini, Hurley has been settling into a new chapter with boyfriend Billy Ray Cyrus. The two went public on Easter Sunday in April 2025 with a photo of them together leaning against a fence in a field — low-key, romantic, and very much not what anyone expected.

“I think people found Billy and I being together a little surprising. It’s not surprising to me because we’re actually quite similar and get on extremely well,” she told Page Six in May 2025. “We both like to laugh a lot, and we both love the country. And we both love country music, both love movies. We’ve got a lot in common — and cowboy boots, definitely.”

Cyrus has been equally open about his feelings. After Hurley presented at the Olivier Awards in April — stunning in a long-sleeve white gown with a plunging neckline and a thigh-high slit — he posted about the evening on Instagram: “So proud of my beautiful girlfriend @elizabethhurley1 presenting last night @OlivierAwards ❤️ the evening reminded me why I love our industry.”

The two appear to have made things more permanent than a long-distance situation. In May, Hurley posted about getting “brand new gardening gloves to start a brand new garden in Tennessee,” which suggested she’s been spending real time at Cyrus’s home base — and maybe bringing her leaf blower along for the ride.

Damian, meanwhile, seems fully on board. If his comment on this week’s bikini photos is any indication — “These are insane woah” — he’s his mother’s biggest fan.
